Ware/Merriman revisited...

I never said I didn't want Ware, I just said that if a player is better on the board, then take him.

I want Ware to be dominant, Iwant Ware to rule the NFL, but it's hard to be happy when you see a rookie like Merriman do it week in and week out, that's all I said.

Ware had a great game today.. but he still needs to develop another pass rushing move. All his sacks came off the edge today.

Why does this debate exist and how long will we dicuss which is greater and who made the right choice?

That will be like debating who should be first pick in the draft: The QB or the RB.

Ware and Merriman will be outstanding players, I think, and each will fit the scheme their coaches want for them to fill. There are so many variables that flunctuate within a season, from game to game, and from team to team, it is difficult to compare and contrast because we don't know what roles each is called to fill at a particular time.

I would be happy with either but my choice was Ware -- still is.
