He's an amazing athlete and with the way they use him I think hes going to become a 5 sack a year guy. I know this sounds negative but its not, he tackles like crazy, he runs people down, etc. I just feel we need him at pass rush 90 perceent of the time. Turn DeMarcus loose. Putting him all over the place just hurts is pass rush.

If you want him being a pass-rusher 90% of the time, then you waste his great coverage skills, and tackling skills.

we should have Ellis rushing 90% of the time, so he's not spending that much time in coverage

"Coverage skills"? We have linebackers for that. We didn't ask Haley to cover pass receivers. Just attack the QB and RBs.

Thats exactly what im saying, Ware is a linebacker not a DE. JMHO i dont think he should be rushing the passer 90%, not even 50% of the plays

If Haley could play DE at 255lbs, so can Ware. Our new coach next year will realize that too.

Haley did it 10-15 years ago. Players are smaller. Jeeze you really have an agenda on the 3-4/4-3 thing dont u.

I would love to see Ellis, Canty, Spears, and Ware starting on a 4 man line. The linebackers could be Burnett, James, and Carpenter/ Adoyele (whoever wins out).

I really hope our next coach drafts some offensive players. We need some youth on the Oline badly. I would love to see the next two drafts soley used on that side of the ball. There is already enough talent on the defense.

Umm, you guys are forgetting we are playing the 3-4. Ware can't be a DE in the 3-4, he is too small. As an OLB, he has to do more than rush the passer. It is just how the 3-4 works.

No, John Abraham, Terrel Suggs, and Freeny have shown that it can be done. Ware should be allowed to do what he does best. I bet his sacks will go up if he doesn't have to concentrate on playing coverage.

I kinda wish we would use Ware more on blitzes and flat out pass rush, but hopefully overtime he gets better and can increase his sacks

I said next year. The 3-4 ain't set in stone, you know. Nor will it be forced upon a new coach of any quality.

The thing about the 3-4 is that they shouldnt know where the 4th blitzer is coming from and the Jags not only knew but shut the extra blitzers down. Blitzing Ware 90% of the time from the same spot on the outside wouldnt be decieving what so ever.

Who cares how many sacks an individual player gets? It's all about keeping the offense out of the endzone.

My attempt at being rational....it was just one game. And we lost it to a good team on the road. Patience is a virtue.

Well, this is just an arguement over whether to use the 4-3 or the 3-4. I will say, in a 4-3, Ware will have problems holding up to the run cause he would have more responsiblities there with smaller LBs behind him.

Ellis was overcome alot of times stopping the run in the 4-3, and he is 270. I don't think you want to see Ware at DE at all. The Giants play the 4-3, Lavar is the same size as Ware, guess what, he is a OLB. If we used Ware as an end in the 4-3, he might be more of situational passing situation player.

It doesn't matter, our personnel is now setup for the 3-4, I don't want to go switching back again anytime soon. That would set us back for years, don't you remember how long it has taken to get to the 3-4?? Well, we don't have time to do anymore switching anytime soon.

Aint that the truth.

No score, no win.
Take the Bucs for example today. They got punked.
