I could tell, reread my post. You didn't exactly enlighten everyone yourself.

I love Ware, and am glad we have him instead of Merriman.

But the only reason his stats are anywhere close to Merriman is b/c he just had 3 sacks.

Merriman has been more consistent this year.

Ware sure was a MONSTER out there on Saturday though. Maybe that's his problem, he's used to showing up on SATURDAY. HEH.

I say Demarcus Ware because one more game like that he will be rookie of the year...

and Merriman had 2 games where he had 2 sacks, can't take away Ware's 3-sack performance then

Someone asked about tackles for loss. Here's what STATS Inc. says --

Ware 9.0
Merriman 5.0
Tatupu 5.0
Thurman 3.5

This should surprise noone. The man is excellent and shedding blockers and getting the ball carrier. Even when he wasnt gettting sacks the man was stopping runs for losses.

When he has a full offseason to train and learn hes going to be a nasty matchup for anyone.

I'd rather have 2 in 2 than 3 in 1 and 0 in 1.

doesn't matter your preference, it's the same thing, 4 sacks in 2 games, as opposed to 3 in 1, since most of their season sack total, has come in 1/2 games

Odell Thurman is going to win it, so this is a moot point

I agree he has had a good year for anyone let alone a rookie. 100 tackles, 5 FF, 5 INTs and 1 TD pretty good impressive numbers for a rookie.

Indeed.

I'm really not concerned about who wins ROTY. I just care that Ware has finally decided to turn it loose, instead of thinking so much. I believe that the pep talks that JJ & Jeff Ireland, the Cowboys' VP of college & pro scouting, gave to Ware spurred him on to great things. However, I also believe that the interview that Charles Haley gave where he mentioned that as soon as DeWare starts trusting his abilities, of which Haley said were special, & stops thinking so much, he was going to be a great player in this league.

Wearing the same number that Haley wore, I'm sure DeWare pays attention when Haley speaks. I don't know what JJ's relationship is with Charles right now, but I would love to see him in training camp next year, working with the pass rushers. Parcells needs to bring in more great Cowboys from the past, & fewer Giants.

Ware has 3 forced fumbles for the year and one passed defensed....

Merriman has
2 forced fumbles and 4 passed defense

Tatupu has 0 forced fumbles and 9 pass defensed

I2 do not know where to find quarter back pressure. Dose anyone else?
