His pressure and the run defense was huge.

The end around stop was a huge play for us.

He tipped the ball when TNew picked it.

He is becoming a top 5 defensive player in the league.

definitly one of the best players in football, and he isnt one dimensional either...he is great against the run, can play in space and rush the passer

will be a defensive player of the yr one day soon

Yeah, I agree...He had a very good game...There were times I thought he was going to really dominate the game but then would fade some...There was a play late in the game where he came in and forced a throwaway from Trent Edwards deep in Cowboys territory...His speed getting to Trent was very impressive (Truth is, I thought it was close to intentional grounding).

And don't forget the sack and forced fumble he had. Incredible play!

i totally agree, and this is another one of his games where the stat line doesn't tell 25% of his impact.

im not sure if they give him a pass deflection on that tip, but even if they do you don't know without watching the game that it was a tip that caused the game change

How many sacks did he have? And did he get credited for a sack when he knocked the ball out of Edwards' hands behind the line of scrimmage?

And while we are on the subject of pass rush and LB play...Spencer showed up pretty big again tonight. That kid is going to be a monster for us with a little more experience.

I'm pretty sure he gets a sack for the forced fumble play. I don't know how many hurries and knockdowns he got besides his 1.5 sacks but it had to be a bunch.

Good point...Strange though, he started out very strong and then seemed to fade?...Was he getting subbed out for Ellis?...Actually, I didn't see Greg Ellis make a play tonight.

How about Ratliff eh?...On that INT by Newman, looked like Ratliff (Who recovered the fumble) outran Terrence.

TNew was a beast.....he got the INT...and he blew up 2-3 plays behind the line with some very nice tackles....he laid some wood on those plays.

Some nice tackles on Parrish too...Was it just me or did Parrish look like he was going to break one everytime he had the ball against this D?

He had a couple of plays that scared me but then we seemed to get a bead on him. After TNew got him for a loss on that one play he was pretty much done as a big threat.

Either Parrish has some moves or our D was having major trouble tackling at times.....

Your so right. His run defense is excellent, and he is getting so close to the QB on every play.He is very close to having a 4 or 5 sack game.

Ware was credited with three quarterback hits -- one on the half-sack, plus two others (an incompletion on the play before Buffalo's fake punt, and an incompletion two plays before Newman's interception). Ware didn't get credit for a QB hit when he had the sack that forced the fumble.

Ware was a stud no doubt, and Ellis was trasnparent. I hope Ware and Newman teach their teammates how to tackle though.

I saw Newman miss at least two tackles last night.

He did have one or two misses, but neither was on a guy he was covering. He also had several great tackles, including one for a loss.
