I think this could drag out a few months while others sign. I'd like it to be done as soon as it can be but that's just the nature of the business.

It doesn't seem like it should be too difficult now unless Pat Dye wants to really nail them. The contract should probably be around 12 million a year and probably around 6 years.

nothing is going to happen with ware until after the Draft.....Jerry is going to search out trades and be as cheap as he can about It.....like the kitna, henry deal until they load the roster with what they need than use as much of the cap room this year on ware's new contract....just like danny-boy is doing, but In a smarter way.
So, you dump about 16mil this year and about 16mil next year in a uncaped year that would make a contract of that size more managable down the road, but for now there is no hurry.
And also try and grab a few more picks because these rookie contracts will go from a 4 year to a 6 year contract spreading the money even more over time If need be making bigger contracts like ware's even more managable.
