Ware's background

I'm curious to know why D. Ware ended up going to a small school like Troy. Was he a late bloomer? Did he have bad grades (doesn't seem like the type who would have academic problems)?

It's amazing to see a guy go from being on noone's radar, to being dominant at Troy, being a top 11 pick in the NFL and now (according to WP) being one of the better LBs to play the game. Assuming he stays healthy, he'll be in the pro bowl for many years to come.

He was a wide receiver coming out of high school. Maybe that gives you an indication of his size at the time.

He is one of the more gifted defensive players in the NFL and could be a top 10 defensive player without much of an argument, top 5 if you asked me.

Pretty cool considering where he has come from.
