Ware's starting streak broken?

Am I right in thinking that Ware was on the bench for the first defensive play vs. NO, for the first time in his pro career?
This is an exceedingly minor point, but if that's right, I think I like it. Wade could have put him in for the one play to keep the (not very meaningful) streak alive, but instead did what was best for the team and for Ware.

I think Wade did this right. A "start" is meaningless, he pandered to Gregg Ellis on the issue last year. There is no reason to focus on getting players various stats. Now, if we were talking about pulling a RB who was 5 yards away from a milestone like 1000, it would be a little different.

Wade used Ware just right. He was fresh to close it out. I'm happy for him because some criticism was starting to creep in. Ware is a trooper. He reminded us of that Saturday night.
