Warner officially retires.

I wonder if the Saints will have retired 2 qbs this season after we here from the all time leader in interceptions.

This year he will say he is staying, then he will retire, around week 6 he will join a team that is 6-0.

It'll be a damn shame if Warner doesn't get into the Hall of Fame. I realize he had a subpar stretch there in the middle of his career, but the peaks were the absolute highest of highs. Three Super Bowl appearances for two of the league's most putrid franchises, and the three-best statistical performances in Super Bowls. Not to mention the whole rags to riches story.

Perpetually underrated because everyone was always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Warner is a shoe-in for the HOF

IMO

An excellent player and an excellent role model. There are not many like him. NFL lost a good one. Should make the Hall of Fame fairly easily IMO.

This does make things easier for the cowboys. If Favre hangs it up, its a three way battle next with the Saints and Packers

Give him and Favre the boot and the Hall of Fame.

Give the Cowboys an easier path to XLV!

:D

Great career and great story.

What a fantastic story he was. The best Cinderella story in NFL history IMO. I wish him nothing but the best in the future, though I will miss seeing him on the field.

HOF? I think so. Maybe not first ballot, since he did have a few really off years, but there's a reason why he was a 2-time MVP. He'll get in, and rightfully so.

He had a one hell of a career, one of my favorite non-Cowboy players of all time. I have to admit, I will miss seeing Warner on Sundays.

However, this makes the road a lot easier for Dallas. I dont see the Cards doing jack next year with freaking Lienert at QB, he freaking sucks.

They will be lucky to be an 8-8 team next year, seriously. Looks like Zona is going to go back to sucking year in and year out.

Just one year ago they went to the Super Bowl coming off a 9-7 season.

Don't forget they play in the worst division in the NFL.

Yeah such a waste, I wish ole Kurt would play one more year. I like good competition...

Good Bye Warner...

I think the Cards will have a tough season next year... Can Leinart carry the load?? I DONT CARE
