NFL.com Wire Reports
As many expected, Kurt Warner wasn't going anywhere. That became official Wednesday, when the veteran quarterback agreed to terms on a two-year contract to return to the Arizona Cardinals.
NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the contract is worth $23 million, including $19 million guaranteed. The Cardinals didn't disclose details.

Passing Yards: 4,583
Completion Pct.: 67.1
"We finally got it done," agent Mark Bartelstein told The Associated Press. "We're excited about that. I think it's good for everybody."
Bartelstein told The Associated Press late Tuesday that he and Warner had offered the Cardinals a two-year deal worth $23 million, with $12 million guaranteed. The Cardinals reportedly offered a two-year, $20 million contract, with $10 million guaranteed. Warner had sought a deal that would rank with the five highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL: two years for some $29 million.
Warner's counteroffer came one day after he made a highly publicized trip to San Francisco for an interview and physical exam with the 49ers. Warner and his wife, Brenda, were flown from Phoenix by a private jet and taken to 49ers headquarters by limousine.

Warner, who became a free agent last week, had made it clear that his preference was to return to Arizona. The two sides had an extended negotiating session deep into Tuesday night and on to Wednesday, according to the Cardinals' official Web site, to reach the agreement.
Warner was the heart and soul of a prolific passing offense that led Arizona to an unexpected run to the Super Bowl. The Cardinals had playoff victories over the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and Philadelphia Eagles before a thrilling 27-23 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa. Warner completed 31 of 43 passes for 377 yards and three touchdowns against the Steelers.
In four playoff games, Warner completed 68 percent of his passes for 1,147 yards and 11 touchdowns, with three interceptions. He completed 67 percent of his throws during the regular season for 4,583 yards and 30 touchdowns, with 14 interceptions.
