I dont remember.Obviously at 34 ur reactions arent what they should be in a QB role.

At 34 Aikman was retired (save the last few games of the 2000 season when we turned 34)

I definitely remember getting frustrated at Aikman as he got older for being a statue.

Once Troy lost some players and started getting injured on a regular basis he was getting pretty bad. He was a shadow of his former self IMO.

However I am not sure if he was as bad as bledsoe.

I dunno if it was the same knocks, but I remember being angry at the organization for not grooming a replacement.

Aikman wouldn't be this bad RIGHT NOW ;) just kidding, sort of. :)

All QB's, whatever their abilities were, find that they are INCONSISTENT at the end.

That, to me, is the sign that the end has come. They can still have that one Sunday performance where you think that they are what they were. The problem is, they can't do it every week anymore.

Even in Aikman's very last, injury decimated season, he had a great game against the Bengals.

Right now I'm seeing that in Bledsoe. Bad performance, pretty good performance, average peformance, bad performance.

we still haven't groomed anybody yet.

Unlike Bledsoe, I attribue Aikman's struggles to chronic injuries such as his back and concussions along with no talent to speak of late in his career.

Give Troy the same things that Bledsoe has now which is health and weapons on offense and I have no doubt Troy does much better under the same scenario that Bledsoe is in now.

Aikman physically was different at the end of his career. Bledsoe really hasn't. Injuries to his back and legs really took a toll on Aikman. He just could not make the same throws and that made him ineffective Everything I see in Bledsoe is that he physically can still make all the throws. It is his decsion making that has gotten worse.

We are grooming someone this time around. That does not mean he will pan out.

But this is not a case of Jason Garrett being on the team as a backup and never thinking of him as a potential starter down the road.
