No, he moves as soon as the Center does and the ball is moving before Ware crosses the Line of scrimmage.

Looks to me like DWare is timing his jump off the center raising his head. Obviously it's something he sees in his video study.

Good call.

Yours, I mean. The ref's call stunk.

this was like how it was early in michael jordan's career. his footwork was so fast, they thought he was traveling.

I HATED that they showed that PI penalty like 20 times (yes, it was a bad call), but they never mention this. I say those cancel out.

The difference of course is that the PI call was obviously a good call and the offsides call was obviously a bad call.

That PI was atleast illegal contact, he clearly grabs him twice, then turns around and doesn't play the ball getting his legs trapped in Austin's. It wasn't the best call ever but wasn't as bad as that one against Ware IMHO.

He wasnt offsides. I got fed up with the sop-feeds and ended up going to a buddy's that starts games an hour late so he can fast forward through the commercials. We watched this play over and over with satellite dvr and there was no question that it was just a great jump on the ball in real time.

Of course not. The refs need to be brought up to speed about Ware's abilities.

ESPN sports has him down for 3 tackles, 2 solo and 1 assist.
And 56 plays being owned by Colombo.

He wasn't offsides, he just had the best possible jump you can have without being early, and they punished him for his superhero lightning speed.

He absolutely wasn't offsides.

What's that, the 3rd time he's been called offsides this year when he clearly wasn't?

It was a textbook case of PI. If the ball is in the air and you intentionally grab the player in an effort to interfere with his opportunity to make the catch, its PI. No question about it.

I don't see how ANYONE (even this biggest homer Packer fan) could say that wasn't PI. He grabbed him with his left hand THEN his right hand. Whether or not it "Impeded" his progress is irrelevant. You simply cannot grab a WR while the ball is in the air (or even before the ball is thrown for that matter).

it was an iffy PI call, but there was definitely illegal contact going on, well beyond the 5-yard marker

Thing is, it did impede is progress. It slowed him down and tangled up his legs. He essentially tackled him from behind.
