The Cowboys (3-1) jumped ahead 10-0 with Drew Bledsoe, Jones and the rest of the first-string offense having their way with Jacksonville's second-team defense.

Both teams came out of the game with the most important thing -- no injuries. Jacksonville coach Jack Del Rio was so careful that he sat nearly the entire starting defense and starting running back Fred Taylor. Leftwich led only two drives and took a total of seven snaps.

yep -

The Jaguars should certainly be rested and ready for the Seattle Seahawks on opening day. The first units played a grand total of one minute and 38 seconds and all of that by the offense, which ran a total of five plays.

Coach Jack Del Rio obviously chose to rest his players in the preseason finale against the Dallas Cowboys. It was the formula Patriots coach Bill Belichick used in last year's preseason finale, when Belichick rested all of his starters in the Jaguars' 31-0 win.

The Jaguars put their second-team defense on the field for the start of the game and the Cowboys first-team offense marched to two easy scores.

Yeah the Patriots did it last year and played 6 days later but the Jags don't play for 10 days....

I did not listen nor did I watch the game... but from what I was reading on here I knew something was screwed up...now that I know that the Jags were playing backups and hope to be backups it makes sense...
