Was Parker really a Schotty hire?

I haven't been around here much this off season, well as compared to other years. We all pretty much agree that the system used by this owner to build a winning franchise was based upon family (himself) and nepotism having the final say.

If Jones is actually letting his coaches build out their own staffs with out king jerry having the final say, I'll be very happy. As a matter of fact, even if the coaches make dumb choices in their staff hires, I will still be happy just because jerry isn't making them after 30 years of failure, there's still hope!

So, my ask here is can I get some help to prove to myself Schotty chose Parker, not jerry, and that Parker will have a free hand in choosing his staff. Seen some blurbs here and there, but the more evidence the better. Or am I just an old hopeful fool?

My guess.....After this, a historically bad season defensively, Schotty did a little politicking, asking Stephen and McClay to help him convince Jerry to give him more input in hiring the next DC. After the mess Jerry caused, how could he say.........I mean, his guy was a complete failure. Remember, McClay just commended Schotty on the tireless work he put into finding the right guy.

So yes .........Parker is Schotty's hire IMO.

As a matter of fact, I doubt Jerry even knew Parker prior to any interviews (lol)

My uneducated guess is that Jerry allowed Schotty to put a list together, but JJ still had the final say in who they hire from the list.

If this is true, it's at least progress.

IMO it is totally Shotty who chose the coaches to interview and picked parker. Jones boys just approved it all.
Jones boys wouldnt know who most of these guys were, and they are young and lack experience, which just isnt what jerry likes to go with.
Plus fish is around the star , and he said it was all shotty.
And now parker is basically picking his staff from unknowns to most.

I'm sure Jerry and Stephen had to be comfortable with it too, but I think if they were deciding we probably see another former head coach or someone who's already a DC.

Jerry: hey schotty we threw out our wide net. please pick the dc. We caught 2. You can chose between parker and ... well the other guy left. He wasnt happy with our contract proposal. But anyways feel free to chose whoever fits you best.
