Dallas got away with one in the game as well...

Unfortunately it didn't result in a TD...

Marc Colombo threw a vicious chop block that wasn't called. Can't remember which play. Must have been Edwards engaged with Leonard Davis and Colombo went down and took his knee out.

it wouldn't show up in the stats, you would have to actually watch.

I just watched each of Bennett's catches and didn't see any illegal blocks.

Again, which catch were you referring to, and who do you claim threw the illegal block.

And as far as your "insult" goes, I'm positive that I watch far more replays of the Cowboys' games than you ever have or ever will.

A chop block is hitting a defender low while he is engaged with another blocker.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about a crackback block. But no, Rice's block was not illegal. For it to be illegal, he would have had to have been lined up more than 2 yards outside the tackle. He was lined up close enough to the right tackle to make it a legal block.

thanks adam. i wondered also but figured it just looked like it could be, but as obvious as it would have been, would have been called if it were.

I thought this was a really good play by Rice. Dang, he took down DeMarcus Ware! Lots of better blockers have failed at that task. Then he had the smarts and drive to get up and get downfield.

I thought it was clean as well but didn't know where the line was drawn between clean and a penalty.

Thanks.

It was a good block. And a great play by both Favre and Rice.

Rice didn't do much, he just had to saunter to the end zone. Spears blew it by jumping up.
