That route Romo had him wide open,Cole had the guy beat and seemed like he was almost tackled and no flag.It was a perfect throw and route.

I saw a close one go our way as well. I think the play on cole also was a close call but in the end at least the calls were balanced. If you let one side play let the other side to so as well.

Yeah that was my immediate reaction. Unless the pass was overthrown a little and Beasley tried to draw contact.

Also Beasley was breaking free right before half on a deep post and Orton missed him.

It seems like Romo is high on him so he's got a good shot to make the team.

It just seemed so bad to me I expected the flag. To me it was not even close the cb wasnt going for the ball and Cole definitely got taken down.

That kid is sneaky fast and seemed to have that knack for getting open.

It was totally a PI. He was tackled before the ball got to him.

Yea it was pretty blatant. These replacement officials are awful.

Beyond bad. I haven't watched a whole lot of pre-season but I hope the rest of the games weren't officiated this bad.

Im still trying to figure out who got the PI on 3rd down towards the end. They said it was on # 13 on the defense.

They all have been officiated really poorly.

It was 50/50. There was some contact, but the ball was arguably uncatchable. It wasn't blatant, no.

Agreed... they threw plenty of ticky-tacky flags but missed some major violations...

The real refs are bad enough, but I hope they can come to a deal...

Did you guys see Romo correcting them on ball placement? They were going by college rules...

The ball landing right in front of him when he's no longer running (because he's on the ground) is not uncatchable.

Let me ask you something.

Has there ever been a thread made after a game about how a ref blew an obvious call?

The answer is yes. The refs last night looked a little bit awkward, but I chalk it up to their first NFL game. Overall it's hard to say that the game was really poorly officiated.

Come opening day, we won't know the difference between old refs and new because the old ones themselves were atrocious. I don't know why so many people are ignoring that.

Beasley initiated the contact by trying to adjust to a poorly thrown ball. He turned in to the defender.

Now, the normal refs would have called it, but they call every touch foul on the field. These guys let a lot more go, although they weren't very good overall.

I was cracking up because I counted three times that the Cowboys snapped the ball and the chains hadn't even been set yet.

I might be the only one, but it looked borderline uncatchable. Clearly early contact, but short stuff would have been hard pressed to get a hand on it, anyway.

Not to take away from the general discussion of poor officiating. I just think it was mutually atrocious.

Exactly. Every ball us uncachable if you're face down in the turf. Even then the ball landed right in front of him. You don't think Beasley could have made up the extra few feet if he wasn't tackled?

If you go back and watch the play over you will see that Huff raked his hand across Beasley's face mask and pulled it down a little bit right before he tackled him.

That was an obvious foul.

No, having watched it a few times, I don't. I felt like the call could have gone either way.
