Was the 2018 team better than this one?

I think it was.
That team was hot going into the playoffs and had a legit SB caliber defense.
This team was limping into the playoffs and hadnt won against a good team since week 6.

Heading into the playoffs it was. We were 7-1 the final couple of months of the season. We laid an egg against the Colts in week 16 but other than that we played very consistently entering the playoffs. We won a playoff game. We had issues against the run and it caught up with us against the Rams.
