Was the Price visit a test for Morgan?

Morgan was making noise, the Price talk is high pre-game.

Morgan comes out and plays his best game as a Cowboy, and we low ball Price.

Hmmmm.

Don't think so, BZ. I think all parties are on the up and up here. We may still sign Price.

If that kind of expensive and time consuming orchestration is needed to get a preseason TD out of Morgan, what need Jerry do next to get him to play?

I like Bill's motivation better, and it's much cheaper..

A kick in the rear.

BP playing head games? I can't imagine what would give you that idea. ;)

Not likely.
I'm sure the Dallas organization sees Price as a better receiver than Morgan. Period.
We would have traded Bryant for Price over Bryant for Morgan if that were an option last year.

Let me expound...that was for you LTN...we have interest in Price because of Morgan's short comings.

We bring him in for a look, it's all over the media, there is a buzz around the stadium about Price coming to the game.

We are in a win, win situation.

Morgan tanks we put on the full court press on Peerless.

Morgan plays his best game as a Cowboy, and we don't have to make an all out bid on Price. Which is what appears to have happened.

I like your way of thinking blindzebra. And stranger things have happened in the business of football. It is definitely not out of the question, or a stretch at that for such a scenario to have played out.

I liked what I saw from Morgan last night. He showed some much needed confidence and tenacity. I still hope it works out for Morgan here in Dallas. I am becoming luke warm on the whole Price situation.

I'm going to be happy either way. I like our top 3 WRs. I just think that BP, JJ and Stephen had an idea in advance what they were going to offer Price, and that's what they offerred. BZ may be correct, but I don't think Morgan's TD influenced the offer one way or the other. Who knows?
