The Saints, and the Saints offense in particular looked like and absolute juggernaut before tonight. Bree's was in the middle of possibly a historic season. They were up against a defense last night, that while pretty good this season, has been very much maligned in the past. Pretty much maligned since our last big win against NOLA way back in 2009. They proved tonight that they are a legitimate unit. And the team proved they not belong on the field with the best teams in the NFL, but they can outplay them.

If you asked to slap money down on who I thought would win the Super Bowl, it would have been NOLA ( hard for me to bet against Brees VS. the youngins). Now, I havent changed my mind, but we sure did outplay that team.

Back to the subject at hand:

Was this the most satisfying win in a long time?

Yes.

I still think the Saints would win 4 of 5 games vs the Cowboys.

But this night belonged to the Dallas Defense.

I think shocking
Satisfying is a major playoff win
But this was huge win
Not so much for playoffs but for the team to see what they are capable of and what mistakes can cost you
We dominated one of the best offenses and nearly let it get away with penalties
Those are important lessons

Yes.

Huge regular season game and the team kicked the Saints around the field for the entire game.

Even when it seemed the momentum would shift, the defense stood tall.

Im still debating whether this win >>> Pitt in 2016

That game really put the league on notice that the Cowboys were for real
I gotta go with this.

I wasnt very skeptical that the 3 game win streak wasnt a fluke. The teams we beat werent necessarily bad, but they werent in top form. I thought it was possible to go into a tailspin.

Now I believe they team is legitimately dialed in, and we are a real threat.

The most satisfying win since the victory over KC last season. Too bad last season took a nosedive from there. I'll enjoy a victory over the iggles next week much more because that will give us the cushion we may need if we stumble against a hot Colts team. Andrew Luck is playing some excellent football this season.

No because we seemed to try very hard to lose. Why rush anyone when Gregory runs into the kicker? Two sack fumbles against a poor pass defense. Dak throws just 4 incompletions and we only score 13, and no points in the 2nd half.

We played like it was our Super Bowl while it was just another game for the Saints. We were like a car with a misaligned tire been driven at high speed. We won the run but the car shove a lot the whole time. Playoff time could look very different.

We need to keep getting better.

In the first half I would have said yes. But they completely laid an egg offensively in the 2nd half.

It's one of the greatest defensive performances I've ever seen from this team. They are legit. The offense is not. Mostly because of the QB.

When the defense was on the field yes....when the offense was on the field it was mostly cringeworthy.
