Was This Worse Than 2007?

In 2007 we had a great regular season went 13-3 and looked poised for a Super Bowl run. The Giants just barely snuck into the playoffs and knocked us out and then went on to beat Green Bay and undefeated New England to win the Super Bowl.

This year in 2011 we had two chances to knock out the Giants and we failed both times. Aside from the two meetings we also had other chances to knock them out by beating the Cards which we almost and should've done. Garrett iced his own kicker and we lost. Once again the Giants just barely snuck into the playoffs after drilling us in the season finale they once again beat Green Bay and New England to win their 2nd Super Bowl in four seasons.

Which year was worse 2007 or 2011?

2011 was a worse year by far with all the painful losses.

But the 2007 division round loss to the Giants was worse. In my 32 years following the team, I haven't experienced a loss quite like that. Guess the 79 division rd loss to the Rams is a nice comparable, but I was too young to really feel it.

Like to hear how some of the older fans compare those games.

That 2007 loss was really painful. I remember just feeling hollow. The conference championship game losses were all terrible, but none was so unexpected.

That 2007 loss just left me empty.

Well, IMO, I couldn't care less about past years. I'm looking forward to 2012 to see what will happen. Spilled milk can stay there for all I care.

;)

07' was worse because the expectations were so high by the middle/end of the season.

Honestly, I saw the collapse coming in 2011. I just don't trust this team. It's the same story time and time again...

2007 was way worse for me. i think that was our best chance and we blew it.

No it's not. What we saw last season was the first part of a new story.

And from what I saw from a very young team, I liked it. This is a new story about the Cowboys. Year two is over. Let's see what the Cowboys learned, in another story this coming season.

11 worse because I was actually rooting for the giants cus I didn't want to see the pats have the perfect season

And remember your boy Tony was 3-0 against the Giants going into that game. It's funny, but we kinda owned them at the time and were really in their collective heads........

Who would've guessed at the time that not only were we going to lose that game, but the Giants were going to win 2 SBs in the next 4 years....

Unfreaking believable!

2007, no question. We had our health, everything was clicking and homefield advantage in the playoffs.

2011, we just weren't a good team. The expectation level was not there.

Tony isn't her boy any more. He got married so the claws came out.

This year. In 2007 I didn't want the Pats to have a perfect season, this year I wanted the Giants fanbase to be miserable.

This year is more frustrating because the Cowboys have been in decline since 2007 while the Giants have been able to replenish their roster with top end talent.

yup 2007 and it's not even close.. I was 19 and it's the only game in my life where I pretty much broke down & all I could do is put my face in the pillow and fight back from cryin ha.. took it that hard because I just knew we were headed to the SB that year, pretty sad lol.. Glad I have grown a lot since then as a fan & person. Losses these days just don't do much to me after experiencing that game, still take them hard but I get over it within a couple hours

I'm kinda torn. 2007 was worse for us. We should have been there.

But for some reason seeing the Giants win this year was worse than seeing them win in 2007... if that makes sense.

Pretty much what I'm saying is they both sucked.

You mean more than the Dallas Cowboys fan are? Live with it.

Watch and learn, better yet, watch and see the growth of the Cowboys. That's what I want to see.

Let them do their thing...they deserve it.

You stay cool...payback is a....dirty word! The Cowboys now know what they have to do.

2007 by far. Not only were we clearly the second best team in the league, but we lost to a despised rival only to allow them to be the ones to beat the perfect Pats. It will haunt me forever.

This is one hurts really bad, but more so because of the Giants' successes rather than our failures. We just weren't very good this year.

:laugh2: This years team was never good enough to win it. Only team they could have handled in the Play offs was Atlanta.
