Was TO open for the TD?

I am not trying to start anything... its more of a question to understand how plays get executed.

When Glenn scored the TD to the right .... TO was open on the left(or it looked that way)... so was the play just called for Glenn and he was getting the ball no matter what or does Drew need to decide as they are both open?

Thanks

I think Bledsoe made a pretty good call on that.

Taylor was held by the fact that TO was running a fly on the outside. Looked to me like Taylor was actually cheating towards Owens. Bledsoe threw to the man that Taylor couldn't close on.

Bledsoe talked about that play after the game. It is designed for Terry.

It all depended on what Taylor did. It was a great play, a win, win for the boys.

I think Bledsoe made the right call since it looked like Taylor would have had a chance at getting the ball if thrown to TO.

I think Taylor was trying to bait the throw to Owens. I think he was surprised when Bledsoe threw it to Glenn instead.

The play action caused Bledsoe to roll to the right. Throwing across his body across the field to TO would have been pretty stupid when he had Glenn running to the right side of the field wide open.

Both were open but in the end, Bledsoe made the right play as the post above noted, he rolled a little to the right, and Glenn was way more open than Owens.

With TO on the sideline there also is much less margin for error - if the throw is slightly to the outside the play would be out of bounds.

same play that went to peerless price last year against the eagles, just different field position

Me, I'm pretty sure that TO and Drew, and maybe Bill, knew he's hurt his hand -- TO might have been playing decoy for a bit in that game.

Very close to same route, if not the same that TG scored on in preseason, that Drew layed right in perfectly. BP said there were only a few players in the NFL that can run that route. TO pulls the S over, so when the pass is thrown, he comes over to help, but can't make it in time. I think (but not sure) Taylor has to make a decision of where the ball is going , and needs to decide. But if ran right, he's caught in the middle.

Just my opinion and observation, and could be totally off base.

i hate to do this...but i run the EXACT play on madden. I form twin WR pa te leak. Witten draws one safety to the outside more while glenn fills that spot. when the other safety gets glenn, TO has man to man coverage on the streak. works all the time.

ROFL thats the exact thing i do i keep polite into block. I usually have TO in the slot, Used to be keyshawn. But i hate when teams blitz on the play cause the PA always slows it down. But yea third and 10+ thats the play i use.
