Peterson had 8 carries for 11 yards in the first half. Palmer broke his arm late in the 2nd quarter. The broken arm wasn't the problem. No one was starting Peterson threads the first few games of the season when he was looking bad. One good game and the hyperbole starts.

Over his last 16 games spanning over 3 seasons, Peterson has 233 rushing attempts, 832 yards and a 3.57 ypc average. He is what he is at this point in his career.

His problem is staying healthy but this is a guy that could play well into his 30's because he is the greatest physical specimen that's ever played that position.

If you sign Peterson, you need to build the offense with him in mind. Payton is the true wash up.

Did I say an offense is going to? Whether an offense will or won't doesn't matter here.

Again, you bring in someone like Peterson, you don't give him 6 carries a freakin' game. He is someone that needs a high number of carries and running between the tackles. He's also not a receiver.

Yes, you have to build your scheme around him. If not, you have a wasted roster spot. Why did you struggle with this? And I don't care about the Saints record right now, the Saints shouldn't need to go into desperation mode of being on the hot seat and Brees on his final year before they get something done.

Payton won a Super Bowl and then proceeded to fail in the draft and FA and it led to more bad years than good. And seeing as how the Saints got rid of Peterson, I was right. So are you arguing just to argue or what?

He's getting 3.5 yards per attempt this year. He's below average.

Half of Seattle's defense died and he still got only 29 yards on 21 attempts and fumbled away the ball on the first play of the game.

Peterson wasn't active yesterday. Like most RBs in their 30s, they get dinged up. He would have been a terrible fit in Dallas. He can't function as a back up. He does nothing on 8 carries a game because is a a volume runner and in Dallas wouldn't have even received that many touches while Elliott was starting. Then with Elliott out Peterson wouldn't have been able to handle the numerous rushing attempts required as the starter. Peterson will probably try to play one more year, but his career is basically done now.

Since Zeke has been suspended, Alf has run for 307 yards for a 4.79 ypc average.
AP has run for 134 yards for a 2.44 ypc average.

This is also with Dak playing poorly as well during this stretch, making the team one dimensional/abandoning the run game early

The same rules apply to Peterson that historically applied to other running backs in their 30s. They all have a problem staying healthy and staying consistent. They have one good game among several average games and then miss games. Peterson was inactive today for the second straight week.
