Washington Commanders vs Detroit Lions Playoff Thread

He can't do it alone. He needs All-Pro WRs. All-Pro RBs, ALL-Pro OL, the best coaches, and a top notch defense to win. It is the GM's fault for not giving Goff the tools Goff needs to be successful. Stupid GM is wasting Goff's career. Blame the GM.
You know what is funny. The Cowboys dominated Washington twice with Rush and Lance at quarterback.

yeah I think Detroit thought they could just show up and win.
It wasnt just the defense, they got beat in all 3 phases, and were out coached!

Wash came to play and on offense looked great.
Quinn had them ready to play

Doesn't matter.........which team can rise to the occasion and take care of business on the biggest stage.
Totally agree and now I actually understand the Dak hater argument. Against Green Bay twice he failed to take care of business. San Francisco twice he failed to take care of business. The Rams game when they sold out to stop the run and we had prime Cooper and a young Gallup to throw to we failed. As much as we blame Jerry and the coaches it’s about the quarterback. We have not had a great one since Aikman. Romo and Dak are good but to win with the Cowboys you need great.

I hate to say it but you are right ....... postseason separates elite/greatness from good/jag.

Agreed. In the playoffs, the best QB wins 9/10 times and Hurts is their version of Wak Prescott. God forbid the Eagles go down early, Hurts doesn't have it in him to bring them back so unless the Eagles play a perfect game, the Rams will move on
That's what I'm thinking too. Rams are strong, good defense, good offense, great coaching and--at times--great QB.

Eagles have a better defense but their weaknessess--Hurts can't pass, in fighting, coaching--should be their undoing today

I think the Rams can win. The big question is going to be the weather. Snow is coming and freezing temperatures is on the horizon

Dak Stan here brother. I understand why Prescott was resigned but man it looks like a big mistake going forward.
To me resigning Dak isn't a mistake per se. It's how and why he was resigned. We had no replacement and the same laziness we saw with Jerry regarding the MM firing got Dak $60M. Dak wasn't worth $60M ( Burrow was the highest at $55M )and Jerry knew it but he was too lazy and unmotivated to find another franchise QB. So it was much easier to give Dak what he wanted and move on. Dak just simply did what any of us would have done .......took it. But he's paying a price........rightfully so.

Oh yeah, with better QB play, our Cowboys would be in the NFC championship game! Don’t make me laugh. Our roster is garbage. Other than parsons on defense and Lamb on offense, compare our rosters… we suck, and no QB will change that

Dak earned every bit of that contract no doubt. He would have gotten the same contract or better on the open market. For the Cowboys though it might have been time to move on similar to Cousins with the Vikings. It is obvious Dak can only get this team so far.

Washington’s roster is better than those Dak Cowboys teams? :rolleyes:We had a winning record when Dak was lost for the season and beat two playoff teams. This roster without a quarterback is 7-8 wins level. Just stop it dude.

Chuck......the Commander's roster is about the same as ours. You could argue that they have even less talent than we did for last year's playoff game with GB. The difference is one of the biggest games of his career, on the big stage, Dak was a no-show vs Daniels played a near perfect game. It's all about handling the pressure......one took care of business, one did not and this is from a pro-Dak supporter but facts are facts.
