I agree. I can’t believe he can get that much fur a team that doesn’t even have an identity.Snyder should take what he can. And move on. However, Washington may become a relevant team again.
They won’t become a relevant team again until they find a QB.Snyder should take what he can. And move on. However, Washington may become a relevant team again.
I doubt Jones would sell for any asking price south of $9 billion.Perhaps the Jones clan will see that big price and consider cashing in!
Seriously tho if they ever decided to sell (which they won't) i bet they sell for over 15 billion.Perhaps the Jones clan will see that big price and consider cashing in!
NFL franchises are cash cows. The revenue split from the league broadcast rights with all the competing networks alone probably keepsetc all teams afloat. Throw in the sponsorship deals garnered locally-regionally on an annual basis, TV and radio deals in those NFL city markets, etc. = a very lucrative enterprise...no matter how bad the organization is run - on the field and in the offices.I agree. I can’t believe he can get that much fur a team that doesn’t even have an identity.

After three decades, the Jones family considers NFL ownership as not only a very lucrative business --- but also as an heirloom of sorts (family bible, jewelery, weapons, vintage automobiles, etc.).Seriously tho if they ever decided to sell (which they won't) i bet they sell for over 15 billion.
Competence notwithstanding the Commodes are one of the most recognizable franchises in the countries most visible, lucrative industries. In any sale of an established business, it is all about potential.
I don't think they will sell it for any price it is a toy for them to enjoy and be on the spot lightI doubt Jones would sell for any asking price south of $9 billion.
I usually stray from talking age but Jones is at a point in his life when multi-millionaires and multi-billionaires typically do not part with their prized business holdings. In my opinion, Jones would have sold at a lower price years before if he were so inclined. Now? I doubt only a fantastical asking price would move the needle for him.I don't think they will sell it for any price it is a toy for them to enjoy and be on the spot light
Not to mention summer jobs for all the newly found offspring that come out of the woodwork. After three decades, the Jones family considers NFL ownership as not only a very lucrative business --- but also as an heirloom of sorts (family bible, jewelery, weapons, vintage automobiles, etc.).
They also gain historical prominence in the local community / region as a pillar throughout the years --- charitable causes that were created under the franchise umbrella, as well as personal contact from the team with perennial visits to schools, hospitals, events and promotions, etc.
The Mara, Halas (actually the McClaskey now), Rooney, and Hunt families are still franchise owners for these and other reasons.
They - and other team owners - have been in the NFL far, far longer than the Joneses.
Those families are not even thinking about selling ...and the Cowboys' owner has the same mindset.
