I am genetically coded to hope the Commanders lose.

Well put.

Besides... the Commander fans would be hard to deal with if they lucked up and beat NE.

The cheating allegations and the curious destruction of all the evidence sicken me.

I don't care how much I hate that, and believe me I hate it, I cannot root for a Division rival to beat them. If they play any other team, I root for the other team most likely. Even the 49ers or the Cardinals, both of whom I loathe. Against our Division rivals the choice is so easy it should be called "slut."

Go Patriots.

:hammer:

To add, I think it was Theebs who felt we would lose to the Patriots, but he went on to provide a very cogent argument that it wasn't that big of a loss because it is highly likely the Patriots would give every other team in the division a loss.

I really don't see why this is even up for discussion.

Not only go Patriots, but I hope the dreaded "Toss N Moss" is in full record breaking effect Sunday  .

I agree. Let them go undefeated all the way to SB. Let us beat them.

Nothing else would matter. Nothing. To you, to me... to anyone. Bottom line. The SB is the only that counts.

Sidenote: I have a feeling that the Pats are going strong and hard for he undefeated season. They need something to dispell(if you will) the spygate scandal. If they win all the games and SB then they will say... "see... we can win without the videotape".... I believe that Belicheat has his team thinking WIN THEM ALL. Lets get the undefeated season.

That is my dream situation. Pats go undefeated and get knocked off in the SB aginst Dallas. Nothing could be sweeter than to see the looks on the pats and their fans faces knowing they came so close only to walk away as the losers. As for hating the Pats I don't, I do think they got off the hook to easy but I have seen this from fans in the past who ever is sitting at the top everyone hates be it the Steelers in the 70's, 9ers in the 80's, Cowboys in the 90's and now the Pats in the 2000's. For me while I'm not fan of the Pats I do respect that teams ability because in the end I love quality football and have gotten past the days of sour grapes and acting like a sore loser when things don't go my way

They're at the Giants in Week 17, which could be a meaningless game for NE.

Imagine if the division comes down to the last game, with us in Washington and the Giants at home against the Pats' scrubs.

Well then we will just have to sweep the Giants in a couple of weeks to take that senerio off the plate. My hope is we get to the last week of the season and we are playing our backups.

I can't root for the Commanders, I can't stand the Patriots, but i guess they can win again this week and lose to the Colts next week!

Yup.... That scenario does many things...

It establishes Dallas as the World Champions obviously.... but it also brings back the tarnish talk of the Pats SB wins...(not necessarily my opinion) its just that the media will run with it... debate it...

It puts an end to their dynasty run(even if only for a little while)

It gives Dallas the league leading 9 SB appearance and 6 SB wins

Jerry wont sleep for a few days... and it will NOW be for good reason

Wade, TO & Glenn... get their SB's... all deserving

this one is not even worth debating... let's say aliens came down and played the Commanders .. if the aliens won they would destory the planet ...i would still root against the skins.

Whoever chose the Commanders to play the aliens in that scenario should be the first to be served to the aliens on a silver platter.

And I hate cheaters too, but if cheaters were playing the Commanders, I would root for them to cheat in the best manner possible. Maybe give the Commanders the win in the off season.

I know is f'ed up, but I would love to see a NE victory in which they are still throwing the ball w/ Brady up 24 in the 4th & then Sean Taylor just ends Brady's & NE season with a vicious hit.

Yeah, I wonder if Belicheat ever considers the possibility of his key players getting hurt while running up the score. That being said, I hope they expose the Deadskins for the overrated bunch that they are.

At the beginning of the week, my current hatred of the Patriots was clouding my judgement. Now that we're close to gametime I've come to my senses and am pulling for the Patriots.

My hatred level for both teams in this game is through the roof. I hate anyone being able to win. I'll just pull for the stadium to be pulled into the ground and all the players eaten by some sort of earth-monster.

Speaking of this game. I was listening to a good conversation on the radio with Goose Gosselin and Randy Galloway. Goose was saying the Giants/Patriots Game could represent a huge nightmare for the NFL because of the current cable fiasco. That game is on the NFL Network I believe they said and if the Patriots have only the Giants standing between them and an undefeated season, then only a very small segment of the population will get to see this game.

No its not messed up for wanting to see that.... if it happens it happens... you and I have no effect on that....

FOR ME... I dont care how we get to win a SB... if Brady is hurt and we beat them or whoever without their star QB or player.... IT WONT MAKE ME NO NEVER MIND...

A SB win is a SB win.... just ask the Steelers  those Mother Truckers

I can't believe this is even a question. I could care less about the Patriots, one way or the other. In fact, I kinda like watching the Patriots just because I enjoy watching football executed at a high level. I think the hatred stems more from envy than "cheating". If the whole videogate thing had never happened, people would find another reason to hate them just because they're so much better than everyone else.

If the Pats were to lose the Super Bowl due to an injury to Tom Brady, all it would say to me is that their backup QB isn't good enough. I mean, really, they couldn't find anyone better than Matt Cassell? Are you kidding me? Surely there was a wiley vet like Brad Johnson who was willing to take a little money, sit on the bench, and have a damned fine chance of collecting a Super Bowl ring.

I'm always confused by these threads. Why wouldn't you want an AFC team to beat the Skins?
