Washington signed 20 players in free agency and remains well under the cap, with over $100 million in cap space, ranking them among the top five. Nearly half of their free agents come from Dallas, players whom Dallas either rejected or thought they could easily replace.

Their defensive ends, Dante Fowler and Dorance Armstrong, have a combined total of 13 sacks. Tyler Biadasz has strengthened their center position. Now we are weak at that position.

Other notable free agents include Zach Ertz and Bobby Wagner, who signed for modest amounts but have been productive.

The Cowboys' approach of building a championship team exclusively through the draft is now outdated. No coach wants to be forced to build a team without any free agents. Jerry and Stephen do not know how to construct a championship team.

In 1991 Washington won it all and we responded in kind in 1992.

Expect 2024-2025 to be similar

In 1987 Washington won it all (while we were 7-9) and we responded by going 3-13 in 1988.

Without major changes to this organization, this will be closer to what to expect than us winning it all (not 3-13 but not a championship either).

Jerry and Stephen are already selling next year as anther "money is going to be tight" year even though they are among the lowest in the league in dead cap spend and can free up nearly $100 mil in cap space by deferring money on a few contracts.

They have no idea what they are doing and are so unbelievably cheap (or just downright stupid) that it is astounding.

Our philosophy is to build though the draft and then we trade draft picks for players that are not any good. What’s your issue?

Fear naught, Jerrie has a plan.....won't be a good one, probably involves Kellen Moore as our new HC, but Jerrie does have a plan !

We saw this months ago and the narrative that our QB caused this grew longer than Rapunzel's hair out the castle tower.

This was the year to go "all in" for a Super Bowl. Imo
NFC last remaining teams
Eagles
Commanders
Rams
We can beat any of them if we would have just added a few more pieces to the puzzle and hung on to some of our FA players. However, we did have more injuries than usual for a full season. Hopefully we can right the ship next season.

Hard to compete when they spent $145+ million and we spent … checks notes $18 million

I got 3 words for you that says all you need to know. 1, DAK, 2, CD and 3, Parsons. When all is said and done Jerry will hand out close to $120mil per year for 3 players......no cap space for anyone else.

DAK = $60mil
CD = $34mil
Parsons = 34Mil plus

Not disagreeing that Washington went big in free agency, but their $100 million in CAP space is a myth. They have only 32 players on contract. Wagner, Armstrong and Fowler are free agents again. They do not have a high paid QB on their roster which is an immense help for them. But, they showed a willingness to spend money for players and they didn't go crazy overpaying anyone.

The also hit on two players in the draft to make immediate impacts. Daniels, obviously, but their 2nd round CB, Mike Sainristil, is playing exceptionally well too. This is what Dallas needs to begin their rebuild. Two impact players from this years draft will make them a much better team.

Biadasz has improved Washington's really bad offensive line from last year, but I think Beede has a much higher ceiling. Biadasz has peaked and its not at that high of a level.

It’s been said again and again but the Jones Boys are reactionary. Never have been proactive and never will. They think too highly of themselves and their “football IQ.”

Washington was at a roster difference status and cap was more workable in that change.
