Washington went all in on free agency. What did the Cowboys do?

Jerry and Stephen are already selling next year as anther "money is going to be tight" year even though they are among the lowest in the league in dead cap spend and can free up nearly $100 mil in cap space by deferring money on a few contracts.

They have no idea what they are doing and are so unbelievably cheap (or just downright stupid) that it is astounding.
“We’ve got Parsons coming up, Smith to think about….”

You know it’s coming. Other teams scramble to win before everyone has to be paid and you inevitably lose some players. These two want to save nickels to sign their jersey sellers.

Great plan. It’s worked well. Stick with it.

Sorry, I’m mad. Lol.

Dallas did last offseason like they are about to do again. Nothing.

I got 3 words for you that says all you need to know. 1, DAK, 2, CD and 3, Parsons. When all is said and done Jerry will hand out close to $120mil per year for 3 players......no cap space for anyone else.

DAK = $60mil
CD = $34mil
Parsons = 34Mil plus
You restructure them ,come on !

They should just start doing the opposite of whatever decision they make. Will probably be a bette result ultimately. Lol!

Washington signed 20 players in free agency and remains well under the cap, with over $100 million in cap space, ranking them among the top five. Nearly half of their free agents come from Dallas, players whom Dallas either rejected or thought they could easily replace.

Their defensive ends, Dante Fowler and Dorance Armstrong, have a combined total of 13 sacks. Tyler Biadasz has strengthened their center position. Now we are weak at that position.

Other notable free agents include Zach Ertz and Bobby Wagner, who signed for modest amounts but have been productive.

The Cowboys' approach of building a championship team exclusively through the draft is now outdated. No coach wants to be forced to build a team without any free agents. Jerry and Stephen do not know how to construct a championship team.
If you put Rico and Zek (with #15) on your offense, you get the same average cost per yard as with Barkley or Henry. You need to see this more like a hedge fund of running and plus Zek is a culture changer since he was drafted top 5 - gives feel goods for nothing

Washington just lost a starting offensive tackle...let's just see now.

Constant reboot....

Washington’s GM job is based off his performance

What’s our GM job based on? Blue label?

What did Jerry do? He went for a cruise on his yacht.

Where have you been?? We went all in as well.

Not disagreeing that Washington went big in free agency, but their $100 million in CAP space is a myth. They have only 32 players on contract. Wagner, Armstrong and Fowler are free agents again. They do not have a high paid QB on their roster which is an immense help for them. But, they showed a willingness to spend money for players and they didn't go crazy overpaying anyone.

The also hit on two players in the draft to make immediate impacts. Daniels, obviously, but their 2nd round CB, Mike Sainristil, is playing exceptionally well too. This is what Dallas needs to begin their rebuild. Two impact players from this years draft will make them a much better team.

Biadasz has improved Washington's really bad offensive line from last year, but I think Beede has a much higher ceiling. Biadasz has peaked and its not at that high of a level.
Your right about signing some of their free agents. But their cap space isn't a myth. They have a lot of room to play with though and they don't have to sign all of their FA. Thus they will probably end up having around 80 million to play with.

What I wanted to point out that is we can still sign players in FA without breaking the bank. The Cowboys are the ones breaking the bank signing their own players, not Washington. And I don't believe for one second that we couldn't sign players like Biadasz, Armstrong and Fowler. We are just too dumb to work the cap just like any other team.
