Washington's Running back Shot!

I hate to sound callous on it but I lived in Baltimore for 10 years from 2001 to 2011...this is just another day

Crime is rampant, you can't walk on a sidewalk after sundown without your head on a swivel....after midnight we always walked in the middle of the street so we could spot anyone coming after us from the alleys.

Bottom line i it's dangerous and it's becoming the wild west...We're barely scraping the surface

A real black cloud hanging over that organization.

Thats not it bro... its just certain stores/gas stations in parts of DC you can't just pull up in nice vehicles and not attract haters and thieves man. Im born and raised in DC and was "outside" back in my day and there's certain places i wouldn't stop if I was driving certain vehicles that i own.

Once my business started becoming more successful, I moved the hell out of DC. When I was there, its not like I was afraid to drive my vehicles, but I wanted to avoid the potential outcome if one of these dudes jumped out there playin..... I stay ready for all situations at all times.

Sadly to say, there's lots of places in this country nowadays that will put you in a position to either put your life or your freedom on the line because people don't want to work for nice or expensive things anymore, they want to take what YOU have.

I hope and pray this young guy heals up fast and get back to playing ball and doing the things he enjoys. My advice to him is keep your nice things on the other side of Wilson Bridge. Hang out in certain parts of VA.

Symptomatic of what's going on in that part of the country. My prayers will continue for a speedy recovery.

......In the city he was going to represent as an NFL player. So sad. I hope he recovers fully to live the dream he worked so hard to turn into reality.

Hate to see news like this. Glad he is ok. Damn… the world we live in smh

I'm not sure it's the world we live in but the America you guys live in. As a brit, news like this still shocks me that such a wealthy 1st world country has issues pretty much no other 1st world country has right now.

I'm not long back from 3 weeks in California and got talking to lots of honest folk many times, very little positivity about crime, bringing up kids in a safe environment.

Such a blessed and wonderfully rich place but surely the solution is really obvious?

Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson was shot in an attempted robbery, reports NFL Network.

The report says Robinson is in stable condition after the incident. Washington was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Wow! Well glad he's stable and the wounds aren't life threatening. I hope he can recover and get back on the field ASAP. I pray this doesn't hurt his income/contract. Hate to see this crap. He's one player that I won't be too upset he scores a touchdown on Dallas. That'll mean he's playing and healthy. Prayers up for him and his family. This world we live in is nuts.

I think that sucks. Any athlete, or anyone for that matter, that works really hard to achieve their goals deserves to be able to enjoy nice things. It's a sad state of society that someone with nice things has to be on guard 24/7. Anyone should be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Stay safe bro. I hope and pray for the Commanders RB that he heals up. I hope he follows your advice on the future.

Hope he makes a full recovery and can continue to pursue his dream. I hope they get the person who committed the crime..

I live in the DMV and am very familiar with the area of DC (H st.) where he was shot. In the 90's it was a bad area, but now it's a very up and coming place with expensive row houses and condo's... DC in general is like that.

You gotta watch your back everywhere and I'm sure he was in a really nice car... smh I'm glad to hear he's doing ok.
Yeah that area has really been gentrified over the last two decades: I used to work in that area in The mid 2000’s and it’s changed a lot. Not a terrible area by any means

I lived in the UK for 3 years… loved every minute and am headed back in 2 weeks. Looking fwd to it

And yes— agree with your assessment. For the sake of not getting overly political— we are struggling to work together for the common good on many issues lol

.
hope hes ok
NW quadrant of DC was the safest by far. nowadays is anywhere safe? Ironically only 2 blocks away from Fords theatre (may have been sightseeing)

Unfortunately, the DMV area has seen a significant rise in carjackings and robberies over the last couple of years.

The story doesn't say a lot, but I'm glad he's stable!

I'm guessing the guy got away, since they didn't mention anything about him being arrested.

He'd be out by now with no cash bail by now, even if he was caught. It's the new normal

Has anyone checked on the whereabouts of the Talib Family at
the time of this shooting?

Could this be the NFL version of Tonya and Nancy!?!

Just another day in that area. He's all smiles, so he'll be fine.
