Late last year if we made the playoffs. If he could still do it just 3/4 as good as he was it would solve a lot of issues for us.

He sure was, from my understanding if we qualified for the playoffs last year. He would be back for the playoffs....

Watkins and Roy need a lil bit of grooming.

Get them a shaving kit then.

Woody is too far removed from the game to make any sort of impact.

If any former player should be on this team coaching, it's Woody.

Playing? Not so much.....I think.

woody is a class act, and a true cowboy. I have only ever bought one man's jersey and it was his. I wish he would come back in some way or another.

Me too, but it looks like Darren's chosen broadcasting for at least the short haul.

He's getting better and better at it too, more polished, and always sensible....he gets going sometimes, and comes over passionate but never shrill.

ESPN apparently hasn't chosen to force a schtick on him either. Not that they could.

Woody's one guy that I don't think will ever demean himself with some stock response persona.

I remember the 1st time WOody appeared as a commentator, it was a short stint for the Pro Bowl, he was tripping all over his tongue, but yes, he's progressed nicely in broadcasting

He's not my favourite all-time Cowboy (that would be Issaic Holt), nor is he even in my top five (that would be Holt, Michael Irvin, Tony Tolbert, Danny White, and Alvin Harper.) However, there is no Cowboy, past or present, who I respect more than Darren Woodson. Best safety I've ever seen.

Heck, I would take Woody at 37...I know he can do what Coleman did last game (missing tackles and getting late to everything)...
