the posts I think some people are forgetting a couple of things:

1) There was no real tackling in camp. This was the first real action of the year. Especially for the young guys this has a big effect. So all those calling for immediate cuts need to shut up.

2) ST is a real worry but since these were patchwork units tonight its not as bad as it might have been. Certainly we need to be concerned but no bridge jumping yet.

3) Those wanting to trade/cut Henry take a good long look at how bad Pacman was tonight; now that is probably just rust but think about it.

4) Its just the first preseason game but our backup TE's did NOT look good.

Now for the good stuff:

First team O and D looked just fine. I see no problems there.

Jones, Scandrick and Choice really shined. Jenkins was OK.

Oglesby looked good and Ball did not. But then Ball could join the entire backup D and O in that area; rarely have I seen backups playing other backups stink the place up as they did last night.= but I have one caveat to make-from what I have heard Norv was real tough on the Chargers in their camp this year and MAYBE that is the difference in how the backups played.

Agreed on pretty much all counts. I do believe that the softer approach to camp sacrifices some of the preparedness for the first couple of preseason games, but by the time the season rolls around, we'll be good to go.

And that's what's impotant.

Good point about Pacman's rust. He was beatten on that deep in after Chambers put a quick stutter move on him at the line while Pacman was in press man, and he tripped on the PI.

I say Henry stays. I thought he could be trade bait for a WR. However, Austin's play tonight and Pacman's rust changed my thinking.

I still think Newman, Pacman, and Jenkins will be Dallas' top three CBs, and I would like to see Pacman start for Henry and soon. He'll bounce back against Denver.

I did think Jenkins played very well. He gave up a 7 yard pass when he was playing off but made a quick tackle. Jenkins had a great break-up of a pass (in man press) while showing his long arms and great closing speed and forced a punt on third down. Also, he used his great speed to slash through and make the tackle on a screen play. Jenkins can be a star player and being surrounded by great talent and coaches will elevate his game more. What a steal.

Really-who cares? This was a PREFREAKINGSEASON game! The fact we made it out alive(NO injuries), I'm happy.

As for all this "The Sky is Falling We Need to Cut These Players crap"...give them a chance. And yes, that includes Bennett and Carp.
