With the information the Cowboys had I think they did the right thing letting him go but my gosh has he looked dominant in Denver.

He has earned that contract Denver gave him.

Just imagine if we would've ever had him on a defense like he's on now during the prime years of his career.

I've become a bit of a Denver fan over the last few years since he has got there and was very happy he won a Super Bowl.

Id love to see him chase the sack record. Wouldnt be surpirsed if he breaks it in Dallas towards the end of his career

I agree and think his success has all to do with his environment. Not that Dallas is a bad environment but a change is sometimes needed. Happened many times over the years in the NFL and I think he needed a whole new situation. He and the Boys were no longer the right match for each other.

I'm happy for his success, he seems like a really good person.

Ware looks great in Denver because he's opposite the best outside pass rusher in the league. He's also finally not on the field for every down.

I'm happy for him to be sure - however no one should fool themselves and think he'd be as productive here

He wouldn't be as productive but you can't give all the credit to Miller.

Ware looks better than him at times.

And both of them play with a great secondary and LB's that can cover.

Like I always say, Ware would be triple teamed here. As a result he would stay injured and never be as productive as he is in Denver. Good for him.

Agreed. And I think the OP makes this very point.

And let's not fool ourselves to think Ware would not be head and shoulders better than the DE options currently on the Cowboys. Ware is still a top 100 player in this league and he was key to that SB run, even Von Miller admits that having Ware playing on opposite side makes his job easier.

Yeah his penchant for injury while being the sole focus here just wasn't going to work. Although it would have been really awesome to have him on the 2014 team. He probably gets to Rodgers a few times and maybe the SB congratulations would be at home :(

I'm happy for his success, but the scheme change did him in in Dallas. It's amazing how Denver seems to be able to acquire players who somehow couldn't contribute in Dallas, and turn them into solid roster members.

Ware is obviously the biggest name and best player, but they've managed to turn Darrion Weems into something and recycled Dekoda Watson into another pass rusher at outside linebacker. While this team once again spins its' wheels looking for a pass rush from its return to the 4-3.

Also, Wade Phillips.. You give that guy some talent and it's amazing what he can do.

Give Garrett offensive talent and he just neuters it.

In my opinion, Wade is once again right where he should be - a defensive coordinator. Our problem was hiring him as a head coach. It's been proven time and time again that he's a coordinator and not a head guy. Much like it has with Norv Turner on the offensive side of the ball.

Ware looks better than him. Yeah, if you don't have to play every down, you will tend to have more in the tank.

People here don't realize that he's missed more games as a Bronco, in just two years than he missed in his entire Cowboy career.

I'll take Wade's HC production over Garrett's anyday. Even Norv's. Norv took the Chargers much deeper and to playoffs more often than Garrett has with Cowboys.

When I say those two are better at being coordinators, that doesn't mean I think Garrett's better as a head coach! The fact is that right now, Garrett couldn't compare to either guy as a coordinator, much less as a head coach.

Never forget Norv's timing patterns and great play calling during his time in Dallas. When the time came at least he was qualified to take on a HC job. The same simply can not be said of Jason.

Blame ole Jerry boy for that. Like always, he needed a HC that he could easily control.

I think they needed a 3-4 defensive guy and Wade was the best name available. And they also needed someone who would go along with the Joneses' vanity hiring of Garrett. That move took a lot if quality names off of the list. Few coaches will go along with not getting to choose their entire staff, much less having an owner's pet project on it.
