watching Irvin with the WRs coming out this draft, aswell as with Blackmon and Dez and just anytime he is talking to young guys...

WHY IS HE NOT OUR WR COACH!

I know I know... maybe he isn't willing to put in the time coaching demands... maybe.. i don't know though...

Is it because we think he might be a bad influence?

Michael was the Heart of the 90's Dynasty... The guy knows how to coach.. look at him with these boys... He is a natural Motivater without being fake like Ray Lewis... I feel like he could only help... why has this never been even attempted?

I would love to bring him in as an assistant WR coach of some kind... sort of like we did with Leon Lett on the DL.

Obviously he shouldn't be the WR coach at this point, but just having him here in some capacity would be good IMO.

I don't think Ray Lewis is a fake motivatOr in anyway. He's a good guy just watch his Football Life special on NFL Network and your opinion will change, not many high profile athletes will go visit a normal guy once a week they just happened to hear about dying from cancer.

I would rather Irvin stay where he is and not have a chance at ruining his legacy as a Dallas Cowboy.

What if he comes on as the WR coach and our receivers stink it up? He would get bashed from end to end with many different reasons.

I like him where he is, on a pedestal as the greatest Cowboys WR ever. Do not tarnish that image Michael, you were the greatest!

I really think if he wanted a job he could have one. He makes more money for less hours and less travel at his gig with NFL Network. Why give that up, especially when you have kids you want to be around?

Why does he not do a show with the top 10 WR's entering the draft like Gruden does with the QB's?

Why would he want to be our WR Coach? He has a GREAT gig at NFL Network.
That was my thought.
He has a great, high profile (which he likes) job that pays way more than a WR coach would make.

I could see Jerry paying him a consulting fee on occasion though.

He's just jealous of cancer because it gets to kill more people than he does.

he probably makes more money as an analyst than being a WR coach.

It's a very tough transition to coaching for great players. The hours are brutal, you're in anonymity for the most part and its only a matter of time before you get fired. You've got generational money and you can do whatever you want, coaching is a tough sell.

Remember Clyde Drexler? He coached at the University of Houston for one year and said, "hell no," to that.

It has to be in your soul (Singletary) and although Michael is great in these sessions, it's not the same as being a coach.

If he was a full time coach, he would be voiceless by day 2.

Actually, Irvin is a Dallas Cowboy for life! Just because he does not work for the Cowboys...he does, for free.

He is a coach that we never get to see behind the lines...I would bet that most of the Cowboy players on the team have met him, at one time or the other.

;)

That is a Dallas Cowboy fan and a player...HOF style.

Will never forget the day in which I followed the Irvin draft. Irvin, Tim Brown, and Sterling Sharpe all in that draft.
