The long pass to OBJ, we had J. Crawford, T. Crawford, McClain and Mayowa rushing. On snap, J. Crawford gets hit by FB, who then releases. T. Crawford gets double teamed by G and RT and stood up, then T picks up J. Crawford. McClain gets double teamed by Center and LG while Mayowa is left one on one with LT. No one gets off the line. Manning has no pressure and just drops it in. Durant with a delayed, very delayed blitz.

Next pass is TD. J. Crawford, Thornton, Collins and Mayowa rush. All single blocked, Mayowa gets somewhat close, other 3 get nothing. This time Lee on the delayed blitz runs directly into lineman and is stoned.

Next series more of the same. Giants get rid of the ball so fast as well that it is hard to get anyone there. The biggest problem is that despite us rushing 4 and putting 7 in coverage, he always seems to have someone open quickly, which shouldn't happen playing coverage, yet it still does, time after time.

Marinelli's rushmen 4 guys up the field then is just out of position on the run plays. Our LB's don't fill and there are just gaping holes.

It's really hard watching this and not seeing them do anything to try and shake things up.

We've seen the media have influence on the coaching staffs playcalling throughout the years and I don't expect this week to be any different.

If you play Draft Kings I would put Dez in your lineup this week against Washington because I expect him to probably get a ton of targets.

We have bad players along with a miserable philosophy.

For once I'd like to see us blitz and then the DBs undercut the short routes.

Just once.

Defense isn't the reason we lost this game. They aren't perfect but they got sacks, got turnovers, forced punts, got the ball back for the offense with a minute and a half to get a FG for the win. They gave up 20 points which is in that range especially with our offense we should win.

Only gave up 1 TD in the 2nd half. Blame them all you want but offense has to score more points. Only TD we got came off a Carr int.

This D is not designed to Blitz a lot, which is great if you can get pressure with the front 4 which we can not with the current crop of rushmen.

I agree with ya for once, or maybe even twice :D

Going into this game if someone said that the defense would only give up 20, would that be satisfactory? Absolutely!

I have been saying it for years, offense is a really big problem and it starts with Garrett and his scheme. You could put Rodgers here and we would see the same problems, maybe a few more wins but that is irrelevant. It needs a major overhaul this off-season. I would start with bringing in a new offensive HC to install it!

The defense is bad as well but they lack the talent to get better, the offense has no excuse.

The O actually protected the D yesterday, how many games do you see with that lopsided of a TOP. The D was gashed up the middle when it counted and did not get enough pressure to stop some long passes.

If the TOP had been anywhere near what you normally see, they would have given up a lot more points.

Our O is going to need to score a lot more points and continue to win the TOP battle by a large margin to have success this year.

I agree with our talent on offense no reason to only put up 19 points.

Defense is young and I can see them improving but like you said offense has no excuse. I believe it's more coaching then anything

And is it me or are the few blitzes we run so basic they are almost always picked up?

I kind of disagree. I think the Giants had no fear of us doing anything offensively and they knew they could attack our D as needed. The Giants in the second half went where they basically were taking no risks, running on first and second down and then throwing only on 3rd. If they were concerned by our offense doing anything, they pretty much would have just went all pass. We couldn't really stop them when they went into passing mode. They went down the field on us back to back like they were going against air.

Offense definitely has to do better. This was a team loss no doubt, with everyone getting their share in. I think offense will work it out as Dak gets more game experience and hopefully down the road we get Romo back. The defense will get a little help with Lawrence when he returns but they have to mix in some pressure packages.

We stopped them more then they stopped us. The only reason it was 20-19 is because vet recievers dropped 3 TDs.

You say we have to score much more points on offense to win.....but yet a safety was all that was needed to get the win against a division opponent with a top 10 offense.

I give our defense props. They did their job, offense has to be better

Had they just passed all game we would have had more interceptions. It wasn't the defense at all. They got stops even when they passed but anyways yall negative folks will always blame the defense no matter what

Not saying they were good, because they weren't. But Eli does a pretty good job of getting rid of the ball rather than taking the sack. He would throw a pick before taking a sack, especially when playing the Cowboys. He'll toss it while going to the ground before getting taken down with the ball. Just something I've noticed with Eli when he plays us.

The defense did get the ball back for the offense twice to win, that 2nd to last drive was piss-poor. Had plenty of time to run the clock out and kick the game winning FG :(

Speaking of Durant....dude aged like 10 years since we last saw him in '14. It's beyond sad that he's currently the 2nd best LB (healthy )

Our system would look great with better players. :)
Give me Muhammed Wilkerson and Khalil Mack on the D line and Navarro Bowman with Lee at lbs and Tyron Mathieu back at safety and I promise this D looks really good

They Giants offense had 12 less total yards with 21 less offensive plays and almost a quarter less of TOP and they where 3 for 3 in the red zone.

May just me but that does not sound like good defense.

Every time we went up, they went right to the pass and moved it right down the field. If they needed more points they could have easily scored them.

20 points giving up to a top 10 offense is to me pretty decent that should win games most week especially with our offense. Gave up only 1 TD the entire 2nd half. Defense wasn't to blame but I get it, defense is yall whipping boy. Just blame them and not the offense with 19 points and only 1 TD with 3 trips inside the 10 or the coaches calling the offense

And how many points would that 20 have been if our O did need have almost a qtr of TOP advantage. How many points would that have been if they had a extra 21 offensive plays.

The O protected the D yesterday and that is going to need to be the plan moving forward, heck that is why the brain trust drafted EE because they knew the running game had to protect this D. If the O can protect the D and it does not have to be on the field long we have a shot. But if this D has to be on the field we are going to have issues.
