I used to live in the Central Time zone and normally missed the 1st quarter of the football game since the game started at 12:00 central and church let out about the same time. By the time I got home, the 1st quarter was usually over.

I moved to the Eastern Time zone and while the Sunday games are perfect with 1:00 and 4:00 starts, the Sunday Night and MNF games are usually tough in that the last till midnight or later. (it is a little better now with the 8:15 kickoff but do Wester Time Zone people like it?)

How do you guys handle those situations. I can not imagine living in the western time zone and watching football at 10 in the morning. Have not even woke up yet and what if you go to church. You miss most of the game. I don't care what you say, watching a game on DVR does not replicate watching it live. I would have to know the score of the game before I started watching it.

Watching prime time TV in the Central time zone was the best tho. You could actually watch the local news, Leno, (Carson when I lived there) and still be asleep before midnight. Now it is 1 in the morning if you do the same.

Maybe that is why church attendance is down.....

Simple solution. DVR it if you absolutely can't watch it. At least you can fast forward. I love that football starts at 10 for 11 depending on what time of the year it is and I don't ever sleep past 9 anyway. It's also nice that Sunday Night and Monday Night Football end early enough for bed.

not really fair tho. You can go outside at 1 in the morning and work in the yard because it is still daylight. Got to be wierd sleeping with the sun shining outside. How do you know its daylight??

The summers are awesome, just for that reason. You can do so much because you have so much daylight. The winter on the other hand, im not so found of. It is pretty dark most of the time.

I work a lot, so I don't mind it as much. I go in when its dark and I leave when its dark. We get about 5 hours of daylight from Dec-Feb. It pretty much stinks. =)

That must be so weird when it's dark almost all the time!

The crappy thing is, here we have plenty of daylight, but I still go in when it's dark and get out when the sun is going down. :(

West coast here, so games are 10, 1:15, and then 5:15 on Sundays and 5:35 on Mondays. I usually don't watch the night games unless the Cowboys are playing, don't leave work until 6:30 on Mondays and my wife can only put up with so much football on Sundays.

The 10am games on Sundays are not a problem for me as I only go to church at Easter and Christmas. When I was young, my mom used to make me go to church and I missed football, but as I became a teenager, well, football took precedence and no way I miss now for church. Church will always be there, football isn't. ;)

anyway, I figure God is watching the game so why shouldn't I.

it's the same where i live, it's a lot brighter during the day then night even though it's still light outside, night time is kinda like a sunset but the sun never fully sets before sunrise.
