Do you do it because you can watch them faster on DVR (no commercials, halftime) or because you are always unavailable on Sunday? I DVR a lot of Mavs games because I hate to miss them, but find the time advantage to be another good perk. But Mavs games are more under the radar, and I have even watched them a couple of days later without being spoiled on the outcome. No way I could even make it through the first hour of work on Monday without the football game getting spoiled.
Up until recently I worked graveyard, so I would be going to bed at around 7 to 8 am and sleeping during the early game. There was not a certainty that I would be up in time for the start of the late game some Sundays. So, like you, I would miss parts.
But after a while, even on days I stayed up, I would DVR because I like motoring through the commercials now. And have the ability to move back and revisit a play or series to see how they were attacking or being attacked.
I was off on Mondays, so I would have to be careful what station it was set on when I finally did turn on the set around halftime.
I used to watch the game and listen to Brad Shame, but they are so out of sync now that this has supplanted listening to the Dallas broadcast and not the "neutral" broadcast.
