Watchout for that Cowboys Secondary?

That was the motto around valley ranch, nfl network, and Espn......it worked for the first half of the season, teams feared the cowboys secondary because of reputation now they are finding out..we stink in pass

coverage, and now that we have been exposed the playoffs will be even harder for our boys, its disheartening to see these games and see our poor coverage of receivers but even a bigger hole is our poor coverage of FB's

coming out into the flats and I attribute that to Zimmer's lack of coaching style in the 3-4 defense....other 3-4 teams have no problem of covering FB and RB's coming out of the backfield but our defense seems to rush more

LB's at the quarterback with disregard for the FB and RB heading to wide

open spaces...and more teams are exposing us, the saints did it with RB on his touchdown run and yesterday the falcons did it with there FB......I think Zimmer needs too go and if were gonna stick with the 3-4 we need a

defensive coach who truly understands the 3-4 defense and what its stengths are and what its weakness' are...and obviously Zimmer does not know whats going on....

The major problem with this defense is the corner coverage.

Henry is terrible in space.

Glenn has always had a problem with deep coverage.

I doubt these two have a future with the Dallas Cowboys.

Glenn's been great all year and btw, they just extended him.

Henry gave up about 3 plays yesterday. Also made about three. He gets way to much blame...

The safeties is where this conversation starts and stops.

Roy Williams has been terrible.

Glenn gave up both TDs.

Glenn gave up another one last night.

I don't trust Glenn on deep coverage. He gets "burnt."

The inside linebackers have been horrible in pass coverage.

Pass defense can't be played like it was 5 years ago. Big plays will be given up... especially with an inconsistent pass rush.

And I'll admit that Vick was throwing the ball very well last night.

do you not get it? Parcells has been running this scheme since the 80s. If you guys out there STILL think that Parcells coordinators are the architects of this teams approach, you have been duped.

we wont get a pass rush however until Parcells and Zimmer arnt here

go back and look at how long Vick had to stand there on those long plays

Then why was Roy running toward the FB and then all of the sudden turn around and hit Crumpler when he saw Vick throwing it to Griffen?

Maybe i'm wrong, but it certanly looked like Roy was frustrated and just took a shot at crumpler because he knew it didn't matter.

I don't disagree that our defensive coaching is terrible.

Roy has been abysmal this year though. Other than the 5 picks, it is really difficult to come up with much else he has done.

Also don't forget the Crumpler play where Roy was beaten by 5 yards and Vick overthrew him.

Otherwise it was a long Td.
