OFFENSE

QUARTERBACK

Tono Romo

Did Calvin really misspell one of the very first things he typed in? He is awesome.

Why is McBriar "not satisfied"?

It's just a lame way to say that he wants to get better. It doesn't mean he is actually dissatisfied with anything.

Stephen McGee: Coming off injuries, so the team wants to see what he can do in camp (There was a note he's been working all offseason on his release)

McGee needs to worry about Nichols as well. He had better stay healthy otherwise he could lose his roster spot.
Deon Anderson: The fullback has a job as long as he's healthy

Or the NFL does not discipline him.

Manuel Johnson: A year away from pushing someone for an active roster spot

Jesse Holley: The realty show winner needs another year to learn
These two might as well pack their bags right now. Tucker could be our next Ogletree.

TIGHT END

Jason Witten is coming off his second career thousand-yard season.Jason Witten: One of the top players on the team and Romo's favorite target

Martellus Bennett: Must step up his game once the regular-season starts

John Phillips: Cowboys like his potential; fighting Bennett for playing time
I was shocked we did not add another tight end somehow.

LEFT TACKLE

Doug Free: When Flozell Adams was cut, Free was given the task of playing left tackle

Pat McQuistan: He might get a position change if the club thinks he can't handle this spot
We have changed McQuistan from guard to tackle to guard to tackle again. If he can't handle the spot, get someone else.

LEFT GUARD

Kyle Kosier: In the final year of his contract, he's a strong force inside

Cory Procter: He's also the backup center and is steady
Awful. Procter is like an unsightly wart on the roster.

RIGHT GUARD

Leonard Davis: Cowboys hinted he could move to tackle; he's strong where he is

Travis Bright: Still developing his game, probably a few years away

I wonder what Bright has.

Sam Young: The rookie can play both tackle spots; he's a backup for now
I hope if we ever see him playing left tackle, our third QB is the one taking snaps.

Marcus Dixon: Cowboys expect him to step up to active roster this year

Lissemore could edge him out as the developmental lineman.

Junior Siavii: Could use more playing time, but is doing well when he gets in
Another sore spot on the roster I would have liked to have seen get challenged. He might be okay for a breather for Ratliff, but we would be devastated if Ratliff were ever hurt for any period of time.

Sean Lee: The rookie will challenge to become the nickel linebacker

Give it a week and he makes Carpenter obsolete.

Jason Williams: Looks for playing time while staying healthy

Stephen Hodge: If he's healthy enough, he will play special teams

Donovan Woods: Battling for a roster spot

Too bad Hodge's knees continue to be an issue. I like his striking ability he showed at TCU.

Jamar Wall: The young player could see some special teams time
Hopefully. I think he will have a tough time making the team.

If Sam Young is ever playing LT its game over

I think the purpose if his existence is to try and get a halfway decent RT w/ experience to step in next year.

I dont know where that leaves Brewster

LEFT TACKLE

Doug Free: When Flozell Adams was cut, Free was given the task of playing left tackle

Pat McQuistan: He might get a position change if the club thinks he can't handle this spot We have changed McQuistan from guard to tackle to guard to tackle again. If he can't handle the spot, get someone else.
Theres no way theyre not getting a better backup

PUNT RETURNS

Patrick Crayton: If Bryant can't do this, Crayton gets the job back

Terence Newman: Has the speed for this spot but is better at corner

KICK RETURNS

Felix Jones: Increased playing time might take him out of this role

Miles Austin: Has the speed for this spot, but …
