I was more then a little surprised recent picks Gallimore and Bohannon were both healthy scratches for the Bucs game . Watkins to my mind has been a solid young vet ever since the Texans let him go , think of it as a trade for Maliek Collins who ended up in Houston ,

Hankins in a little trade value to Vegas was missed on the middle when he was out and really along with OSA who’s been a good third round value since he came from UCLA . This trio is nice to have to build with .

I still think they need more talent inside. Watkins is a replacement level player. I do think they should bring Hankins back. He is still good at run stuffing DT, capable of anchoring and moving down the line. He isnt much of a pass rusher (tonights sack notwithstanding) but he fits for what the roster needs

I think besides Joseph, Gallimore is easily the biggest disappointment on this years team. Bohanna while injured and disappointing was a 6th round pick and expectations there were considerably lower, apparently with good reason. The defense needs a difference maker at those positions that they dont have right now.

Let’s note the Bucs were the worst run offense in the NFL. That’s not to disparage the defensive effort last night but just state facts.

Watkins is a JAG. Hankins is now 30. Osi is a nice young rotational piece.

I wouldn’t call them a nice trip to build with.

Yes in the April draft see who’s on the board at this position but the team is not on empty at DT as some think .

Again Tampa’s OL has struggled all year. They couldn’t run on anyone.

IMO, the Cowboys need to overhaul the DT position this offseason. Watkins is a JAG and I don't really think it matters if he's back or not. Hankins can probably serve a role as a 1T. Osi is still a good, young rotational guy. Those two are the only two I could see wanting back. The rest? See ya.

Except the 152 yards they ran for against us earlier in the year. While I agree with your assessment (and especially against the 49ers), at least for the night, the run defense looks improved versus what we had prior to Hankins.

It's good that we have a set of coaches that don't just keep playing players because they're nice and the right kind of guys. If you're not playing well, time to sit
