Watkins: Turpins will get a 2nd round tender ($5.3M)

Yes keep Seig and Anger. Lawson and Golston can test the FA market.

Is Turpin worth losing for a 2nd round pick?
Especially if no one expects Dallas to even make the playoffs. Do you want that draft pick.
However, they need to let Osa walk to get the comp pick in this same situation.

Or is $5.34 million a cheap price to pay to keep. Then lose him to a comp pick next year. This is probably the right answer. If they bring in other FA's to actually compete for a playoff spot.

I don't see any way a team offers Turpin a big contract and willing to give the 2nd round pick.

Good. Keep Turp

Lawson is a dime a dozen player. Golston will get overpaid by Quinn in Washington.

Fine with keeping anger and Seig

For 2nd round pick? I'm fine with letting him walk.....he's good but we have too many holes.

This is the right move. If we keep Turpin for just over $5M its a win. If he leaves and we get a 2nd round pick its a win. Turpin is a fine player, but is going to be limited as an offensive weapon and is about to turn 29 years old. He isn't going to be a long term answer for the Cowboys.

Must keep:
Turpin
Anger
Sieg

Would like to keep for the right price:
Lawson
Golston
Agreed.

I think lawson is back. He did play well but likely generates some interest.

Highly doubt Golston is back. Quinn knows how to use him and if they release Allen, he can back up Newton at DT and Armstrong at DE

Actually, I thought the way we used Golston last year was how to use him. Zimmer made him a base end primarily against the run (because of Lawrence's injury) and he was very solid in that role. Quinn wanted him to bulk up and be an interior pass rusher, and he had very limited success in that role.

Trade Osa

Whoa it's going to be tough to keep Anger and Sieg for Stephen's cap pie mantra.
