Our OL should be fully rebuild,,offense just needs another skilled player or two, but dl has to be reshaped
I can agree with you about the offensive line if Steele can play like he did before the injury. I am actually concerned about the coaching. The Green Bay loss was embarrassing. We got out schemed all game long on both sides of the ball. The Packers know MM better than he knows them. Somebody should have been fired after that performance.

Always the question.
Tom Landry was the most innovative mind in the game at one point. But in the end, after massive years..........too many coaches and players knew exactly how his stuff worked, and what it took to beat it.

MM and DQ defense work fine when teams are working on their team and not working specifically against them. Let a good team see Dallas, and then they scheme against their weaknesses. We see it every year come playoff time.

Dallas hasn't been good enough to overcome their weaknesses since the triplets. Why do people think Zims defense will be better than DQ's? There is lots of tape on both of them, and pretty well the book has been written on how to attack them. Is MM going to come up with something new that Dak and the offense can do different or better than they have before, or are they going to keep doing the same thing?

Who on Dallas coaching staff can see their own weaknesses and scheme against them? Because that is what other teams will do to them. That is Football.
Who on Dallas coaching staff can watch film and see the weaknesses of the other team, and scheme against them while utilizing the strengths of the Dallas Cowboys players?

We all knew that all team needs couldn't be addressed in 1 draft class, which remain the top priority next yr, barring anything unexpected:

-WR-Brandin Cooks will become a fa and isn't expected to resign at his age. Lamb most likely will receive an extension, the other receivers are more like 4/5 types.
-DT-Osa is a free agent, where it 50/50 at this point if they decide to keep him. Very little behind him, unless someone else emerges.
-RB-they need fresh legs at the position.
-S-Bell becomes a fa, Wilson/Hooker will have I believe 1 yr left on their contracts
-Edge-a lot will depend on how Sam Williams and Kneeland play this season. Never have enough pass rushers.
Hopefully we have learned that the OLine and DLine needs be addressed every year.

11 picks next year if we don't trade up.

RB, WR, OL, DE, DT, CB, S, LB

11 picks is too many, they should be active on the trade market and land some veterans to fill out their roster.

He will need to make a significant leap to become a quality #3
Gallup 34 catches, 418 yards and 2 TD's.

That is 2 catches and 25 yards per game to replace Gallup. That does not seem unreasonable.

Except we need more from a #3 WR than just someone to replace Gallup. But at least the bar has been lowered.

Well he should able to produce his stats + Gallup's from last year.

55 catches, 650 yards, 5+ TD's.

Should? That would be a significant leap from last year when Tolbert had 22 catches for 268 yds.

Tolbert was not playing early Gallup was. Tolbert took snaps from Gallup later in the year.

Not really. Cowboys scored plenty of points with what Gallup did last year. Tolbert can do that.
Plus CD will get up to 200 targets. Hard to get other receivers involved when 50% of your passes will go to CD and Ferguson alone.
