Brent and bishop hopefully, rest are scrubs IMO

Okoye is an unknown. If he makes a full recovery, he is a decent starter or excellent reserve as evidenced by his time in Houston and Chicago.

Whaley is planet theory. He was 270 at the combine but plays in the 290s and started to really fill out his frame. He's not quite ideal planet theory because of his 32.9" arms but he is a big man and better yet he has excellent balance through contact. He has natural bend and a very good first step. He is a neophyte to the hand techniques. He played far too many downs on the nose for Texas and was much better at the beginning of halves but he is an intriguing prospect. There is no better teacher than Marinelli.

Your use of the word scrubs as the whole of your analysis is a bit lazy. Dig deeper, my man.

can't imgine DLaw not starting from the other side

If he doesn't start I don't see the reason for us trading two picks to get him. I don't see the reason from the OP reason for even making this thread too, its pointless and a waste of time without draft picks if you ask me.

You cannot understand why a fan would want to look at the depth chart going into the draft?

I can. DLaw showed flashes at the end of the season, but Mincey played more consistently all year. DLaw will get his snaps, but he needs to be given time to develop as well. Learning under Hardy will be great for DLaw and won't force him to be a 8-12 sack guy right away. Besides Mincey is a LDE through and through, DLaw is a RDE.

It seemed like the right time to get an idea post-FA and before the draft of what the needs and strengths are.

Nothing is written in stone, especially the roles of Hardy, DLaw and Mincey. There should be plenty of snaps for all of them and Hardy has even slid over to DT at times. If they really wanted to get after a QB, a nickel rush of
..............Mincey.......Crawford........Hardy.....DLaw.............. could be formidable.

You're right, he's 5'10. He always looked like 6'0 to me on the field, weird. Either way 5'10 - 190 pounds is pretty much the average for every elite corner out there. Revis, Haden, Verner, Grimes etc. I still want him to get an opportunity to start unless we pick a corner in round 1 which I don't see happening. The guys ahead of him haven't earned the right to be guaranteed a starting job. Whoever performs the best in camp & preseason should be in the starting lineup come opening day. If it's Patmon so be it. He has a nose for the ball, you can't teach that.

He will see lots of playing time. Whether it be bc of injuries or otherwise he will be relied upon. I liked what I saw last year in a nickel role.

Some don't think Hitchens is a good fit at SAM. But I don't see any other option. Will be interesting to see if they find another option via the draft and let hitchens be a backup for all 3 positions. He will see playing time regardless bc there will be injuries.

I don't think Hitchens is the best at the SAM either. He may get a lot of snaps at the nickel MIKE

The good thing is that the depth at LB is very good this year
