Way Too Early Season Prediction

Record: 7-10 miss playoffs

Why:
1. Worst offseason in decades. We got blown out at home against a QB with zero playoff experience and our FO was not motivated to make any changes
2. More difficult schedule
3. Eagles got better and made a lot of moves to improve their roster
4. We still cant stop the run when it really matters, a long term issue since our FO typically overspends on offense
5. One of the worst RB groups in NFL according to several national sportswriters
6. Organizational dysfunction - Players report and answer to Jerry, not the head coach; Jones micromanagement skills.
7. A lame duck head coach without the power to hire his own staff (Jerry hired Zimmer against Big Macs will)
8. Our top decision maker was tied up in court, orchestrating another financial payoff to a daughter he refuses to recognize
9. Questions about off and def lines. We lost quality starters and many of their replacements are unproven
10. We have really bad backup QBs.
11. Depth: Our most successful seasons have been when we avoid the injury bug (Packers last Super Bowl win occurred when they were one of the top teams with the most injuries but they won with quality depth).
12. Has the game passed Zimmer by?

How the season will go: Early season struggles put our hc on the hot seat. Players quit on the team after thanksgiving and McCarthy is eventually held accountable for Jerry's failures and is fired, likely at end of season.

During Super Bowl week, Jerry steals the spotlight and announces Bill Belicheck is the new Dallas head coach. This creates excitement in the offseason and sells more tickets but no head coach under the Jones model can produce a div round playoff game and after several seasons, Belicheck quits and retires after soaking Jerry for top money.

Before he quits, Jerry makes a pass at Belicheck’s 20 yr old girl friend.

Whats your early prediction?

You’ll be better than that. You still get to play NYGx2, WASx2, NO, CAR. you always beat Philly in DAL but Philly has won 4 of 5 in PHI, And then some 50/50 games like TB, ATL, PITT, CLE

Schedule is a huge determining factor

I still think we win at least 10 regular season games ....... then a first round exit.
For some reason the football god's will be on our side, we'll be in a close game and win the first game, and win the 2nd game of the playoffs because nobody expected us to lol

If Zimmer’s defense comes around , Dak feasts on mediocre teams and him playing for a huge future contract they could win 12 games. The passing game will probably be used to set up the running game trying to gash the defense with draws out of shotgun. If this is truly Daks last season then add in a lot of Qb designed running out of shotgun. Special teams have to excel and we could have a first round home game. An Eli Manning year where everything goes right.

I think this year, we wont have high expectations and the team will struggle early as the D scheme changes and new OL.

But the schedule could be a surprise , even though it looks tougher , the teams go through chnages year to year, I am expecting the boys will be tougher team thanlast year and will compete in a fewgames.

We may eek throughplayoffs as WC and then lose it.

This is a hard season to predict !
So many things have changed.
Vegas will make a lot of money on betting.

The only thing I can say now is If dallas wins most of the games BEfore the bye week , they could have a 10+ season.
If they lose most of them, they will struggle to be a WC.

With three straight amazing regular seasons, what goes up must come down.

9-11 wins.

But it’s meaningless. It’s what they do in the postseason that matters at this point. So if they win 11 games but then spit the bit in their first playoff game, it’s a failed season at this point.

My prediction is a lot of negative threads like this one, to keep us entertained.

It’s going to be a long season. We just have to hope we drop to 5 wins or lower for higher draft picks in 2025. There’s going to be a few QBs building resumes. I just hope we hit on one.

Playoff miss.

FO laziness during the offseasin pays huge dividends, paving the way to a mediocre season and a post season miss. We’ll have an offseason of dysfunction as everyone questions the 3 record braking contracts of Dak, Ceedee, and Micah signed in ‘24. Magic Mike gets canned and Jerry digs into his bag of familiarity and promotes Zimmer to HC.

.... I see what your saying. It definitely looks like chips could fall that way.
Lets hope, Mazi and Overshown kick it up couple notches.

One huge factor will be how Zimmer makes it work.
I see us more at 10-7 or 9-8, with needing help getting into playoffs.
