Wayne’s father, Willie Daniels, said his son is being looked at both as a defensive end, and as a linebacker by some teams. The combine isn’t only physical: the teams also get the opportunity to question the prospects, as well.
“I talked with him (Monday night), and he says he’s ready,” the elder Daniels said. “That’s what he’s told me. I basically told him to be himself, and do what he does best. ...‘You’ve made it this far by putting God first,’ I told him, and I just told him to keep doing that, and be himself, and he’ll be fine.”
Daniels was a defensive end at TCU and led the Horned Frogs’ defense in sacks and tackles for loss this season. TCU went 13-0 and defeated Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. Daniels was also chosen an All-American by the Football Writers Of America.
