We all know deep down Jerry will run it back with Mike

Why else would you have Jane Slater telling everyone that the team loves Mike and he hasn’t lost the locker room? Not only that but you have Daks comment’s yesterday as well. They will let Quinn leave and let Mike coach out the final year. It’s the easiest option for Jerry. This team is not focused on Championships. Jerry is more focused on being involved and making small changes.

Yep. he cancelled the meeting he had with him today. In the end I have no doubt it will end one of two ways. Jerry keeps it as is. Or he fires McCarthy and brings in a head scratching hire like Jason Witten. Remember who called it -first.

I am still holding out hope that Jerry knows he is running out of time and makes drastic changes, but deep down I know you're probably right.

If my two options are:

1. Keep Mike
2. Fire MM and replace with DQ

I’ll take #1 every time. I have a feeling that it won’t go further than that

I kind of expect the disappointment by now. Jerry always thinks we are on the verge and gives these coaches outs. What he hasn't acknowledged is how undisciplined and sloppy these guys are. How selfish and me first this team is. The defense abandoning run gaps is a perfect illustration. The weak *** players are lobbying for their soft coach because they don't want to cake walk to end.

If Jerry were going to fire McCarthy for failing in the playoffs he would have done it already. McCarthy is coming back. Dak is coming back. Quinn is coming back because he is not going to be offered a HC position.

I don't think it matters. Jerry has a certain type of coach, desperate for the gig and will let Jerry be Jerry.

People are throwing around names of coaches who do not fit that mold and won't coach the Cowboys.

MM and DQ are staying, because where else would JJ get coaches that let him do what he wants to do

I never thought for a second BigMac wouldn't be coaching next year, but after that game, how do they keep him? That wasn't your typical loss. That wasn't even a blowout loss where one team was overwhelmed. The Cowboys didn't show up. They didn't look prepared. When GB gets stomped next week by the 49ers, it will be all the more evident that it wasn't just a good game by the Packers.

I think they will run it back for another year and then their contracts expire. The bigger question is what they do with Dak honestly. That’s a much thornier question. You either have to extend him to smooth out the cap hit or likely blow it all up. I do not think they are willing to stomach the latter. My guess is they extend Dak and continue on with their plans for player personnel as if nothing has happened and then see what happens next year. If next year is a dud then a new coaching staff will be hired.

Jerry takes the path of least resistance.
Why else did he keep Garrett for 9.5 seasons?

Quinn is the guy to go this year.
Moore was last year.
Good riddance to both but they are also scapegoats for the failed HC and QB

Running it back is going to lose some fans. I’m a diehard but I’d seriously consider skipping a few games next season.

lame duck coach maybe a lame duck qb’as well? That’s just giving up on a season.

I mean even if this team went 13-4 for the 1 seed how could you trust them in a playoff game
