We all need to quit saying that Jerry and Stephen do not understand the cap

They understand it just fine....they are just cheap!!! The lack of Free Agency spending isn't because they are worried about wrecking the team....that is just what they would like you to believe. They HAVE CAP ROOM...they just don't want to spend money. What opened my eyes was FLUSHING AN ENTIRE season down the toilet just because you didn't want to pay your Head Coach to walk. I can 100% GUARANTEE you that they understand the cap just as good as Howie Roseman....they just prefer to spend their money on MARKETING your boys!!!

The money for marketing and the salary cap are not the same pile of money. The salary cap isn't complicated. The complicated part is how to divide the money among 53 guys, who to pay, how long, and how much. They don't have clue #1 in that regard and get lapped by Howie on a regular basis.
 
Allow me to rephrase....I don't totally believe them when they act is if the cap is a ticking time bomb. God help them if they haven't hired SOMEONE by now to study how Roseman and other teams handle it...if not, y'all are 100% correct and I'm giving them too much credit for being smart...not smart smart, but deceivingly smart.

Jerry made an average QB the highest paid player in NFL history and you think he's cheap? Jerry is very cheap when it comes to the coaches, but lately, he spends too much on players who haven't come close to earning it.

Whether or not Jerry understands the cap is anyone's guess, but with the excuses they make for not even trying to bring in players like Henry, the signs point to them not having a clue.
 
Meh. I am certain there are people on staff that understand the cap chapter and verse. Clearly all they want is your money and dont care what you think.

It’s a “Jones management thing”…blame players, coaches, and other mid-level people for your management mistakes and shortcomings. Hold the lower level guys accountable for the upper level management’s sins.

It’s called organizational dysfunction. And it explains the last 3 decades.

They totally understand it they just don’t want to spend money
It isn’t complicated at all for people that have built a billion dollar business

Even then they were using the excuse of Carrs contract as a reason why they couldn't get another rusher to go with Ware.

Jerry and now Stephen(cap boy) wants to do it his way. They would rather lose doing it their way.

Jerry is more interested in the money from Dallas merchandise, i.e., Dak's #4 uniform.
 
Two sets of fans and this is how they differ in thinking

Those that get it: The cap means nothing anyway JJ doesnt want to win.

Those that dont: if we spend to win, we ll be in cap hell

Either way, both know the cap, a computer does it for you. HOWEVER we have an owner, Gm and Coach who doesnt want to win.
