I wasnt mad they were trying for Cooks.

I was mad that they thought they were fine at WR before TRYING to bring in Cooks. This team constantly reacts to issues they could have fixed in the off-season. Now Pollard who has literally never been a lead back nor a run up he middle type was supposed to be the guy. After breaking his leg. Now our run game is brutal. The talks of Henry begin. Its a cycle.

I'm not gonna lie I would've been pissed had they traded a 1st for Cooks lol. And I like Cooks.

I think the Henry talk is just Cowboys talking. I honestly don't think the issue is personnel at the running back position. I like Dowdle and Pollard. I like Malik. The only reason I want Henry is because he brings a certain dog with him. A certain physical play. I'd take it at any position but seems like there isn't much available.

I agree. There’s no incentive to trade Henry now if you’re the Texans so if he does get traded might be closer to the deadline. But it’s the same complainers who complain about everything. For the actual Cowboy fans I get it. It’s frustrating. But some of these guys are just running their soup coolers.

The Eagles have a strange relationship with the Titans. Tennessee might have been a real threat to the Chiefs if they didn’t trade away their star players to the Eagles because they were being cheap.

We got him for a 5th because we didn't panic midseason is my point. We shouldn't just panic because Eagles made a trade. Waiting until the offseason went from trading him for a 1st to a 5th rounder.

There are some guys that you just trade outright for because there value won't change. If Jeffrey Simmons was available you're trading a 1st now or a 1st later. I'd be all for that. But these 30 year old veterans?

I just never was a fan of Tannenhill but it seemed like they never even tried to upgrade that position. They let Corey Davis go which I guess ended up being the right move since he just retired at 27. But yeah Titans had a real good team at one point. Just screwed up dealing with the Eagles.

And this is the dilemma this team finds itself in and what I keep arguing. You don't have a 4th or 5th....I could get behind trading a 3rd for him but that 3rd round has been crucial to our team building. But we don't have the mid round picks to go and get a legit veteran.

Well we traded are mid round picks for Gilmore and Cooks. Those were good trades. The Cowboys got hit with season ending injuries to a good rookie linebacker and an All-Pro defensive back. The team would look much different if those guys could be available.

If i'm not mistaken they traded their mid round picks for Eric Scott Jr and Trey Lance. But I agree with you though. We took some hits to our defense. This team will never be as good as it could've been with Diggs here. A sad reality. They are winning in spite of it though. They deserve some credit.

Has anyone ever noticed that AFTER the trade deadline, you'll hear "The cowboys were one of the teams that made calls to said organization!" then you'll hear Jerry follow things up by saying "the price wasn't right!" This year it'll be funny because jerry said that teams should be calling them, as if we have many players teams may be interested in. Please give your thoughts on if you think the truth will come out later???

I think all the teams that we do call should come out and blast jerry for his comments of saying teams should call us, when it was us calling them!

Jerry likes to be in the news, good, bad or indifferent. its about being on the news. so he will make several calls, offer 8th round picks and PS players. and then claim, they tried.

Good lord Eric Scott jr. That was a bad trade. He is older than Schoonmaker and he has not been activated once. Lance was a lottery ticket. He was worth the gamble.

I mean I won't knock them yet for Eric Scott. I didn't expect him to contribute year 1 but they seemed adamant on getting him for some reason. They traded up for Xavier Woods like that and it worked. Did not know he was 25 though.

Yeah I assumed he was a young developmental project at 22 years old. Then I looked him up and he was older then Joseph by two years.

There was not much information on Scott jr. supposedly he was going to go undrafted. I had to look up his information from junior college.
