If we can fix 3 things this offseason, I see no reason we can't compete for a SB next year.

1. Fix the O-Line- Sign LeCharles Bentley to play Center. Move Flo to RT and draft a LT in round 1- yes a rookie would be protecting Drew's blindside but it would be an improvement over Tucker and we can help one side. I would love to dump rivera but i bet the cap will prohibit it.

2. Sign a kicker- Vanderjagt or Vinitiari (i have no idea how to spell it). we start to win close games instead of having billy shank them away.

3. Fix the deep ball- unreal that 15 weeks in we can still blow coverage and allow big plays down the field- it has killed us all year long.

With Henry out and Davis playing FS I expected to see that at least once today. I'm still in a little shock Steve Smith didn't just kill us deep.

1. I love the idea of getting Bentley, BP loves to run the ball in the interior and all year long we have not been able to. The addition of Bentley and hopefully a year of rehab and strengthening of Rivera would solve our problems in the interior. Regardless of Johnson's good game today we have seen him to often get stuffed by the big NTs of the game. Bentley would be a great upgrade, keep Gurorde who can back up both positions and have Bentley replace Johnson.

2. Hopefully BP doesnt go cheapo here and we do in fact get a rock solid kicker, not only for the FGs but field position on kickoffs too.

3. I'll disagree here, lets keep FLO at LT, his not being there has sure shown how much we need him there. At RT there can be some competition but I'm not totally down on Pettiti. He needs to participate bigtime in the strength program this year but some here need to remember he was a late round rookie starting for us. He has broken my heart too, often in this 2nd half but when FLO went down then we couldnt assign all the help to his side and we got killed for it. I want to see what Pettiti does next camp and preseason.


4. Will A Glenn go another year with us? We still do need a ballhawking FS out there. We have some hitters to be sure but no one with pass coverage instincts. Bierault I dont think offers much in the pass coverage dept either.

It's called a bad play by the FS. K. Davis seems to always get bit by the playaction or a QB who scrables a little.

Rivera is solid...or has been up until this year. Bentley would be good-I'm not a big Johnson fan although he isn't BAD. Davis is a great ST player, but leaves alot to be desired in coverage. As bad as I hate to say it, Roy Williams has gotten his *** handed to him SEVERAL times this season on play action-definately tell he likes the run more than the pass, huh?

well watch Davis. He is always out of position. Look at the td pass today, he got beat again. He is garbage always out of position looking for the big hit. no way he can start next year. getting a real FS will help a lot with deep ball issue.,

I like the Bentley idea and drafting a LT..we need more options on this O-line by way of starters and depth. We also need a FS to be sure..no more Davis he can back-up and play STs.

Lbs..needed and a young big and fast WR. Vander or Vini too...games are too close not to have a clutch kicker!!
