We are agreed Dez is just an average WR

The question isn't whether Dez is a good receiver or not. The question is..... is he worth his salary at this point in his career? Big difference.

Even worse than the Crawford contract in terms of value.

Dez is not an elite WR and not sure he ever was. When he's gone up against megatron, Julio Jones and other top WR's makes it pretty obvious......when the team has really needed him to step up in times of need he very rarely did/does, has often completely disappeared in games at times.

I would say he might be slightly above average due to some great catches he's made, they are just few and far between as well as missing on passes that some on this board could catch.

WRs I would put with rbs as a position that can be filled on the 2nd day. This is a running team first. Pay the online and draft defense.

100% agree, only thing that would make me think different would be a guaranteed Antonio Brown or Julio Jones. Just a monster that can take over games and those guys are rarely known about anyways....they usually get taken later on and become stars. I'd rather take can't miss trench players.

If only life was this simple. One needs to take into account the young inconsistent quarterback (Dak) for the Dallas Cowboys. This is having a negative impact on his wr numbers. Still respective but not elite numbers.

 Right on sarge!

Bryant is exactly like his boyfriend Romo. He was good and sometimes he was very good. He was never elite...like his big game record proves. When, finally, Garrett and Bryant are done in Dallas the club will move forward to a playoff run.

The RG is far more important than a WR. Yeah, games are won and lost in the trenches. I still consider RB's as trench players.

Should still be returning punts.

I know he puts on the show as if he has fire in his belly.
But I believe the flame went out a long time ago.
He's no Michael Irvin.
Amen. His " passion" died when he signed his undeserved and bloated contract. Stephen Jones understands that and so does Bryant. Hence, his performance this season. He knows he is done in Dallas after this year.

I don't agree. Its just hard for him to get open and he doesnt have a qb like romo to get him the ball. But dak figured the fade out twice last game. You not see the passiin in dez when he had that run and catch last game? He got up fired up!

After the first catch. That's passion

I'd use both Bryant and Beasley in tandem primarily working the slot, flanked by a true speed threat outside. I think you can get great production from Bryant for another 3+ years if used this way.

He's better than this but not a great deal. I'd say 1/2 way between average and elite. I agree with the rest of your post.

Dez just tries to rely on his natural ability and doesn’t put in the mental work to be truly great. I would not resign him.
