Only two holes remain, both easily filled.

1..A Vet Safety, possibly to start. Thomas? Maybe...Boston? Maybe....Someone in that vein. Most probably Boston.

2... A BACKUP veteran Linebacker. Doesnt have to be a star by a long shot, we have all three starters now. Just a solid dependable backup type.

Other than that we are fully stocked and have good depth just about everywhere. The offensive and Defensive lines are both stocked with plenty of blue chip types and great depth. Only other signing I may consider is a Vet like Terrell McClain on the defensive line. Rotation guy that can bring some juice on the interior.

IMO we havent had this few holes in forever. Best part is none of the holes are hard to fill, all pretty easily filled in fact with only one of them being a starter,... the safety.

I wish there was something we could do at TE but if you go through rosters there really isn't much there.

Maybe a team like Pitt would let go of Vance McDonald or something.

I wish we would've gone up for Mark Andrews. I'd feel better about our TE group if he were here because he's such a good receiver.

I'll say this about Schultz though.. He's a better blocker then Witten is at this point and he moves like Old man Witten in his routes. We may have not lost much there if he has to start.

Rico is the lottery ticket we need to hit.

Wilson is an OK backup veteran linebacker. Thomas may be an even better one. So I don't think we have any need at LB.

Safety is the primary hole. Receiver and tight end have a lot of bodies but the quality is questionable.

I would add that we might have a hole at QB. And this isn't an anti-Dak statement. It's simply that, based on 2 stretches of games played, anyone reasonable has to question which is the real QB. No doubt there are reasons for the 2nd half of last year, but at the same time, it rightfully raised questions about Dak. We'll see which way the arrow is pointed this year.

Definitely need another safety and more depth at LB.
Would say we need a true 1T but this team seems more than okay not having one
Agree with the other posters that we have to hope to get lucky at TE with Jarwin and Rico

Offense is fine, line got better, recievers got faster and TE should remain stable.....Schultz will slide right in with his blocking.

Defense needs another linebacker, a decent one who can take over if needed in case of injury. Safety is my biggest hole, what we have isn't good enough.

One more DT would be nice but not imperative.

I agree we are ready to get the OTAS and Minis going to figure out how to make this soup work..we have the ingredients, now lets see who surfaces as starters and who gets to be backups..

WR most interesting followed by TE..a lot of bodys now they need to make their mark..

The online IMO is set now unless we have complete break down Tsmith, Williams, Fredrick, Martin, lc ;Looney b-up G/C, Fleming ST, Martin backup G.. Wiliams and LC interchangeable along the G/T should we have smith go down again ..

QB Dak, Rush:interesting watch white
RB-Zeke, BO, Rod
FB Olawale, Rod
WR a mess of bodys
TE a mess of bodys

Defense, Same as last year with some added depth and maybe Gregory coming in and will Bjones make it a CB? will our DBs all grow and show up? but the starters are pretty set here on D

Our returning TE's have 9 total career catches. How is that not an issue?

Well because they weren't allowed on the field because Witten played about every play. So there is that.

And there is this...
Jarwin was a rookie, and was inactive.
Rico was on IR
Swaim did not get much playing time, but he too I believe was battling through a few minor injuries, but when he did play, he made some real nice catches. He and Dak has a rapport on that crossing pattern play.
Schultz is rookie just drafted.

So of course the catches are limited. Jason was a rookie at one time too, so the same was probably said about him

Not one person on here can say they expected the type of career Witten has had.

We basically have 4 unheralded rookies trying to fill 2 TE spots. If that makes you happy and full of confidence, great.

We're still at least two years away, and the Eagles will continue to be better than us as long as Wentz is healthy.

List of needs still in order of importance:

1. Starting 1T- the FO understands this and that's why we are looking into Terrell McClain

2. Vet starting SS- I'm fine with Woods at FS and Heath backing him up. Frazier has his limitations and is in need of more competition.

3. Vertical threat TE- Shultz and Swaim are inline TEs, Jarwin is an unknown, and I doubt the rapper makes the team.

4. WR1- It's lower on the list because of the scarcity of #1 receivers and the amount of resources it takes to acquire one. If Dem Thomas was made available(they shopped him at last years trade deadline) after they just drafted Sutton and Hamilton in the 2nd and 4th round, I would be interested in the asking price for him.

5. Small slot receiver if Beasley is cut or traded. Hurns is a good big bodied slot receiver, we'd need a Jarius Wright type to replace Beasley and compliment Hurns.

I think a solid vet FS and DT1 are all that's needed at this point. I'm fine with the TE's going forward. They may be inexperienced but its a good mix of blocking and catching ability. Some combo will emerge or they can grab a veteran later in camp. At some point you have to let young pups play and become seasoned vets. That time is now for our TEs. Another vet LBer may be needed at some point but that can come later with cutdowns. No real need to spend money at the position until you see what we have with the young players.
