yep, I said it.. 6-0..

at Jacksonville: I'm not afraid of them.. their record was inflated last year by the easiest schedule in the league.. Leftwich is gonna get hit a lot.. their defense is pretty good, but I'm not afraid of that offense at all..

Washington: Monday night.. at home.. second game of the year.. no way we repeat last year..

at Tennessee: next

at Philadelphia: TO will have a big game.. we will be 3-0 going into this one.. should be a good game.. the crowd at Philly will be nuts.. but we are better than them and i think that week off before the Tennessee game will be extra prep time for this one..

Houston: next

NY Giants: should be another good one, as all the NFC East games this year should be.. we win a close one at home..

there you go, 6-0.. then we have a BRUTAL, and i mean BRUTAL, stretch at Carolina, at Washington, at Arizona, Indy, Tampa Bay, and at NY Giants.. wow..

yeah, some Commanders fans will read this and think im a homer.. some Cowboys fans will read this and think im a homer.. but i dont care.. Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Houston are gimmes as far as im concerned.. im only worried about our NFC East matchups..

yeah, I know.. I'm not trying to be some crazy homer or make some absurd prediction, I'm just saying that it is very possible we could start off 6-0.. Enough so that I think it will happen..

Ya, what us fans think really affects the outcome of games.

:storm: Man! Now I'm not even allowed to think?!

E&R, I'd be with you all the way, except that games I thought should be in the bag last year ended up being the ones we lost. The Cowboys don't have a cakewalk schedule this year, so I hope they don't make those classic mistakes of looking beyond their next opponent.

So it was you responsible for our 7 losses?

As long as "WE" don't look past the next opponent we should be OK.

6-0? We could just as easily be 0-6. Games against the East are always tough, and we know the Cowboys tend to underachieve from time to time. I'd be pretty happy with 3-3 or 4-2.

You could make the case that -

- Going 6-0 would just make the Cowboys targets for the rest of the league

- The players would probably get overconfident and tank the playoffs if not the remainder of the season.

- A fast start might lead to another contract extension for Parcells, and we know he hasn't done anything (no playoff wins) in his time here.

- More FA's would be attracted to the Cowboys, inevitably leading to more Rivera and Vanderjagt-type signing (these were bad signings in case you didn't know).

- A better record would lead to a worse draft position, inevitably leading to more trade downs and bad draft picks like Roy Williams and Julius Jones.

- TO might actually be happy if the team is winning. What would we talk about?

- More bandwagon fans.

- More national games, just serving to waste my investment in Sunday Ticket.

I'll have more once X-Dawg answers my PM. :p:

I think the Philly game will be a close one, but I like your thinking.

Sure glad we have a good kicker now.

Make that 7-0 and I'm part of the homer bandwagon as well!

I think that our team always seem to do well with Carolina. We beat them 3 years ago and we beat them last year as well. Both times they were favored to win. They will be favored to win again and I'm confident we will beat them.

jax we should handle but expect a 13-10 type game. They worry me because there front 4 is one of the best in the league and with our o line questins drew could be in for a pounding.

I don't give a rat's bum about going 6-0 or even 10-0... however that would be pretty impressive... ever since BP got here in 2003, Dallas has had some kind of late season collapse... I refer to it as Texas Rangeritis... I saw the Bears go 1-5 out of the gate I think, or something like that, and they were in the playoffs... I don't care about a fast start to anything, I want a strong finish... Nowadays with how much talent is in the NFL, and with the parity teams deal with, the most successful teams are the ones who are playing the best ball in December and who have also taken care of their record. Pretty daunting task if you're playing in the NFC East... Seattle usually has a cakewalk because they have a candy a** division... So they usually finish strong...

I think you mean there front two (Henderson and Stroud) are the best DUO in the league. The ends don't scare me nor do there cornerbacks. I'm going on a limb and predict a 31 to 9 victory.

The Boys will be fired up to prove that they are not only to be the best in the division but best in the league!!!!!!!!

Can't wait. :starspin
