Why do I care about other teams? I don't. I want my 2014 Dez, not my 2015, 16 or 17.
those are 2017 numbers .....those are who his comps were last year

that is a strong group.....not below average like you said

Well if we are talking year to year the past 3 years I'll take a avg . If you want to take each individual year then thats fine too. Lol at the end though it will come out the same. Dez has cost us 32m more in cap space and hasn't done that much more than twill.
Yeah when Dez was injured...... real fair...........lol

What? Lmao. Middle of the pack at best.
In terms of yards Dez ranked in the high 20's. TDs in the high 20's. Jag.

You Dezerters can create a million different threads all trying to put down Bryant but we are not a better team if we cut him.......PERIOD

If we can trade him and get fair value like a 3rd round pick then we could recoup some of the loss but we will still be worse in 2018 ......AHurns and DThompson are secondary pieces, not stars...... Dez is a star

And don't mention his money either....what are we going to spend it on ???..... and we can still create more space by keeping him....... just like DWare a few years ago...... we got worse as a team by cutting him....who cares if Dez is overpaid by 2-4m??? We are 6m under the cap right now

We can't afford to give away legitimate stars like Dez...... that is just plain dumb and so many Mock Fans are actually rooting for it....... Here's Your Sign

I've been watching this thread from a distance without opening it because I basically agree with the premise in your title. But, I opened it. Here's what I posted on the Allen Hurns thread concerning Lal. :

"My take on Dez is he is a magnificent physical specimen with above average receiver skills but is not teachable nor easily coached. Poor route running throughout his career is evidence that he hasn't taking to any coaching yet. His emotional outburst portray a man in poor control of his emotions. I haven't decided how much his outbursts were based on selfishness but if it's ANY that's too much for a football TEAM. I'm hoping he can be coached out of his negative traits by Lal. I think he can be an asset to the team but I also think he can be a cancer. I don't think he's as bad as his numbers the last 3 years."

17 TDs in 3 years. That's the real number that should be thrown around. This isn't the Tony Romo offense. The numbers Dez was putting up at that time just aren't happening anymore. Those days are gone!

Very true. Though I wouldn't expect any 2nd QB to grasp the houdini skill set Romo had. It's just probably not going to happen, and that's OK with me if the staff pulls their head out of their backsides.

Yep, there it is lol one of the many excuses people give Dez. Ypg takes into account games he's missed. 53 ypg, that's what he's avg. Lol let me guess, he played but wasnt healthy? Lol another excuse? Even missing 10 games over the past 3 season's he still has the most target's during that 3 year period and still cant pull off a 1000 yd season or more than 3 100 yd games . Has missed 10 games and still has 68 more target's than twill and still cant produce that much better than the cowboys 4th most targeted wr. He was targeted 54 more times than twill last year and still could only pull off 16 more rec and 270 more yds .

Agreed. I think coaching is more of a problem than Dez. He has talent and can be productive in the right situation. But I just see more forced passes headed his way if he's still here come September! But the value for production is really no longer there. Too bad we couldn't get a new coach between now and then.

I gave up on Dez after the Seattle game 2017. But, if he's here I truly hope he drives the wheels off this year. I'll happily eat crow if it means he's nasty and on the same page as the staff.
I would have liked a HC/OC change as early as possible, but have to give them another year. Clean slate. If more of the same BS passing on every down on the 5 yard line, 1st and goal type situations or shotgun/empty backfield nonsense....well....it most likely will result in the same. At the very pinnacle a playoff game.

You would think the coaches would realize this is Elliotts offense? It's that type of playcalling that puts all the pressure on the QB and his receivers. That doesn't absolve Dez, his route running is shoddy but the playcalling and scheme in general goes a long way in helping Dak and Dez build some chemistry (or not). That shotgun/empty backfield is a joke at this point. Once in awhile.. sure? But jeez, it's killing this team.

Calm down and breathe broheem

Using the year Dez had a broken foot against him was your doing ......not mine

it is intellectually dishonest but I expect nothing less from the Dezerters

I never used that specific year lol. I used the last 3 years as a whole . You used last year to compare twill and Dez. I'm fine with that and we can go on a year by year the past 3 if you like?

We'll stick with last year since you brought up twill yds and tds and think i need to work on my comparisons. Lol how does dez get 54 more targets and only come up with 16 more rec and 270 more yds? He had 6 more tds which is on par with what he's always done over twill in both of their careers so he didn't nothing special in that department as far as what he did over twill. He's avg 5 more tds a year than twill does so having 6 to 0 shouldn't be a shock. Considering the 54 more targets , being the most targeted wr on the team compared to the 4th most targeted on the team.

Again, their numbers shouldn't even be close, yet they are.

Yeah man, the staff certainly could be doing a way better job getting Dak and Dez rolling.
